Was in town for business and to close out the week, we decided to go for a nice relaxing dinner.
We noticed La Cage earlier in the week but didn't have time for a sit down dinner at the time.
The glass windows were obviously fantastic and part of the reason we came back. We were going to sit on the patio, but decided on sitting inside at the last minute.
We were greeted immediately and taken to our seat with a basket of popcorn from a stand up popcorn machine directly behind the server station.
We were seated near the kitchen which was awesome because we could see the amazing food coming out, every single item looked mouth watering, smelled amazing, and made us wonder what each item was.
We settled in, ordered some drinks, and an app, then took a few minutes to decide.
After a short while trying to understand the French only menu (to be fair we probably could have asked for an English one, but didn't want to bother the busy staff), we both decided on getting a nice steak and before the app arrived, we called the server over and started to order, and were told that there was no steak left or no avocado left at the restaurant.
We asked for some time to relook at the menu. We finally decided to get a selection of tartare.
Our cauliflower app showed up and was fantastic. Up to this point everything seemed to go fantastic. We ate through the popcorn and the app and then time just kind of stood still.
While we saw other tables having managers and hostesses filling other tables popcorn, ours remained empty, which wouldnt be such a big deal, if we didn't have to wait so long for our food to show up.
Being setup by the kitchen at this point was the worst, seeing the time on the screen of our food going higher and higher, and at around 35-40 minutes we saw it put up by the kitchen, ready to be expedited to a server.
Normally this wouldnt be a horrible timeframe, but the restaurant was not packed by any stretch of the imagination, part of the annoyance was that there was a party of young men beside us that ordered before us, and about 25 mins into waiting they had more of their party show up and they rushed the new members of the party orders which popped up in front of ours on the order board and they ended up getting their food asap, while we waited, to be fair to the kitchen, their food looked extremely tasty.
So now we are sitting at about 40 minutes and we can see our food sitting less than 8 feet from us just waiting for it to be walked over to us. Not sure why that took another 5 minutes, but we were courteous and respectful. At this point one of the hostesses came over and asked if we wanted more popcorn as she saw our basket empty. We said yes, that would be great and also if she could check on our food that we could see sitting there.
Our food was delivered within 30 seconds and a fresh basket of popcorn was dropped off seconds later.
The food was absolutely mind blowing and could not have asked for it to taste any better, my compliments to the kitchen staff !!! Getting the poutine as a side was a good call, best poutine I had on this visit !
We were a little upset that both of the tartare's came out spicy even though we were asked if we wanted it spicy and declined, but it was pretty loud so maybe we were misheard.
Overall I would absolutely recommend visiting at least once, or more than once, we will for sure visit again when we are...

We get there at 9:25 with our reservation for 9:30. When we walked in, it took 10 mins before we even had the chance to speak to someone. We could see staff sitting by the bar watching the game and not paying attention to customers at all. We had to flag down a busboy to get somebody to come and see us. We were then told, of course, that our table wasn't ready for a couple of minutes (which, to be fair, it never is wherever you go, so whatever). We got seated at around 9:50; so it took 25 mins just to get a seat at the table we already made reservations for. Funny enough, immediately after seating, the waiter comes to see us, and we tell him we just sat down and haven't had a chance to look at the menu. He comes back 15 minutes later, and we order our drinks. A FULL HOUR goes by before we get up and get a waitress to order another round of drinks. Our waiter later comes back checking on us and asking us if we would want to order food, 1h30 into the evening.
It was 10:45, and we only saw our waiter once for drinks. So we eventually got to order some food; the waiter seems ironically to be in a rush to take the order and leaves before the whole table ordered (we were 6.) So we had to go back and get him to complete our order. Meanwhile, you can forget about water bottles, as we can barely get an order of drinks and food going; we had to flag waitresses multiple times to get water to the table.
25 minutes later (good pace, but also keep in mind we are pretty much the last order of the night at this point), we start getting our food. EMPHASIS ON START: We get an item, then 10 minutes later another one, then 5 minutes later the rest, except for one guest. The waiter then tells them they ran out of nachos 45 mins after they ordered and AFTER EVERYONE GOT THEIR FOOD. What a shitshow. Another round of flag the waitress for water bottles later; the whole table got its food at around 12am. Thank god we were there for a UFC event and planned on staying the whole event because it took 2h30 before everyone had their food.
OTHERWISE, food was okay, and portions are good. Prices are way too much for what it is. Great place to watch sporting events.
We usually go there for every UFC events, but last night was our last there, honestly. Staff are unorganized, and management needs to be changed as a whole at this point.
TLDR: It took 2.5 hours before getting our food, the waiter came to the table a total of 2 times, and the service was poor. Items were missing.

Read moreI came to the cage to have dinner with my mom when we first walked in the we had to wait for the hostess when the hostess finally greeted us she asked us if we wanted paper menus, or to scan the menu digitally. I told her paper menu for the purpose that my mother is an older woman and she’s not used to technology, so the woman just brought one menu for the both of us to share which I found a little bit ridiculous you could’ve given her a paper menu and a digital menu so we wouldn’t have to wait otherwise the only best part about her service is when she gave us popcorn I personally found that the service there wasn’t the best of service I found that the employees would be mainly covered around the bar area altogether talking or sitting down in a booth, laughing and giggling amongst each other. I didn’t really see much of the waiters or waitresses going amongst their clients to see how the meal was going or if they needed anything else I understand people don’t like to be bombarded when they eat, but for you only to check one time once you drop the food on the table to say, is everything OK but come back near the end, I didn’t find that was great service. The fact that you have to wait long for when you’re asking for extra things. I didn’t really find the ribs that great. I found them a pet dry they were really to my liking, but you know to each their own I would recommend them being a little bit more juicy with a little bit more prominent of barbeque sauce where it can be visible and not just on one side of the ribs overall, it wasn’t one of the best experiences here but maybe they were tired maybe they were understaffed overwork who knows but overall I don’t think I’ll personally go back there in a while but it is a nice place for family and friends to go celebrate if you’re into that and you want...
