Came in asking for a curly haircut. Was told a stylist would be able to handle my hair and was booked in with Kim. Even filled out their online form on my hair type. Lovely person but I requested to have my dead ends cut off and to keep the length. She kept most of the length as I wanted however she completely sheered out my hair to the point where it doesn't even form a pony tail. I lost over 60% of my hair. I don't believe she was equipped to handle my hair and I am disappointed in her and the salon. My hair looks thin to the point where I look sick. After consulting another hairstylist I was told the one thing you should never do with curly hair is sheer it out as it just makes it frizzy. A simple google search confirmed this. However I can't even wear it straight as it looks even thinner. I cannot believe a trained hair dresser doesn't know this, as well as the rest of the salon who watched her do this to me. I will eventually have to do a big chop to even it out. At first I didn't realize how bad the damage was as Kim didn't have the proper products to style my hair (she pumped tons of shin spray in it which only made it frizzier) after I got home and washed it out I realized how bad the damage was. This completely ruined my hair and confidence and take me years to recover from.
I emailed the salon expressing my frustration days ago and requesting a refund at the very least and have yet to hear back.
I'm adding before and after photos so you can see just how bad it is as I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.
Update: Not sure what client you have mixed me up with. But I 100% did not bring any products in with me. I wish I had bc then I would have been able to see at the end just how bad the haircut was without all the frizz (as I said in my review Kim did not have the proper product to style my hair resulting in a frizzy mess)
I do not live in Montreal, I came on December 23rd and left Montreal on December 24th and I am happy to provide you with proof of my return flight if you would kindly reply to my email.
No redo was done.
NO REFUND WAS RECEIVED -that is a blatant lie on your part and I’m extremely upset.
I sent a friend who lives in the city to talk with you and was told you would be in touch with a manager, no contact has been made yet.
Not sure who you “have on the footage” but please review it as it clearly is not me.
You have my permission to show any footage you believe to be as me, as I 100% did not...

First, I did not call to cancel my appointment; I called to request a change in the appointment time. I asked if Roxanne could meet at 5:00 PM instead of my original time of 3:45 PM.
Your receptionist admitted that the cancellation on your end was due to an oversight in your system, which contradicts the claim that I missed or canceled the appointment.
Furthermore, the receptionist mentioned that the appointment was canceled from your end the same day, without any prior notice, call, or email to inform me of the change. I was not notified about this cancellation, nor did I receive an update in the Fresha system. I was on my way to the salon when I learned of the cancellation.
To add, I called the night before to inquire about my appointment with Roxanne, and your receptionist abruptly hung up after saying she was unavailable. I then called again the day of the appointment, and it was only then that I was informed the original appointment was canceled on your end.
To make matters worse, after your receptionist hung up, she then proceeded to book a random appointment for me for Monday December 17th at 3:30pm that I never asked for.
As for the November 28th appointment, I cancelled it 48 hours in advance, as required, and I expect the same courtesy in return.
If your calls are recorded, I suggest you listen to the call I made on the 13th as well as the 14th and hear for yourself so you can stop misrepresenting the facts. It’s clear that I made reasonable attempts to adjust my appointment (NOT CANCEL IT), but communication on your part was lacking. As a result, I will not be continuing with your services moving forward.
Thank you for your attention to...

I had the worst experience at this hair salon. I booked an appointment for a wash, blow dry and hair straightening and when I showed up, the receptionist who is not a hairdresser started to wash my hair. Then when the "afro professional" showed up, she took over the washing, then the blow drying was done horribly as the "professional" did not seem to know how to detangle the hair at all. Without detangling correctly, she proceeded to start straightening the hair, so every time she was parting the hair it was very painful and was causing breakage. I noticed she was going very fast and the hair was not being done well as it was not straight and still looked frizzy, she proceeded to tell me that she only had 1 hour to finish doing my hair as this is her part time gig and she needed to go back to her job. She was not able to finish within the hour and left the top part of my hair unfinished. The receptionist had to finish the job. The Afro hair professional is not a real Afro professional. They gave her this job only because she is black. She does not seem to know anything about Afro hair and pretty sure she is not licensed at all to do that.
If you like your natural hair, do not book any afro hair services here,...
