Where should i start? It was one of the worst experience of my life. We were five guys going to eat at the restaurant on the 24 February around 5 pm.We thought that it would be a professional restaurant that serves good food but it turned out to be a horrendous experience. It all started when i asked the waiter about the healthiest food on the menu as i was on a diet. He made unnecessary comments about me as my boys were all applauding me respecting my diet and my boys were kinda forced to laugh along so that the situation doesn't seem weird. We asked for bread and he told us that he put it on the grill and it should be coming soon. Our food came after 20 minutes but no bread.I asked him and he said that he would bring it and that he will bring a lot.We ordered pizza ,pasta, grilled chicken(2), cheese plates, nachos, sizzling calamari. The pasta was amazing and my friend tipped 15 %. The pizza was good but there was exactly only 3 small pieces of meat on each slice. The cheese was amazing, the nachos was ok. The grilled chicken was really very dry . The worst plate was the calamari; it was very hard to eat; it seemed that it needed to cook more.THE BREAD was still not there. I finally went up and spoke to the guy at the receptionist and he literally told me "I dont know, its not my job, ask your waiter which was not to be found'. Finally, our bread came after 40 min approx and our calamari was no longer hot. The waiter finally arrived with 1 bag of bread which finished in 3 min and then he came to serve us 2 cokes. I asked for additional bread and his answer was no . He was joking but my friends had to laugh with him and the bread took 5 min to come this time. I asked him Tabasco sauce and some more water which never arrived. He just came with the bill and it cost us like 45 $ per person. Everyone was not happy with the service apart my friend who ordered pasta. 2 of my friends paid their bill and gave like 3 $ tip each and i paid for my friend. My bill was approximately 80 $ and i really didnt want to tip him but i gave him like 3 $ and he had the courage to told me that i should tip him 15 %. Big disrespect.Firstly, a waiter doesn't have the right to ask for tips as it is not obligatory. He also addressed me " as my friend"; Im a customer, Its true that i came in normal clothes but this was disrespectful. I explained to him why i tipped him 3 $ and he just turned away without saying at least "have a great day". I expect some sort of compensation for this service. Our table actually paid...
Read moreThird time coming to this restaurant and yesterday was by far the worst. We ordered two starters, the calamari diabolo and the hummus, bruschetta and tapenade appetizer which costs $8 and worth 0.25$. The hummus tasted like it was made 3 yrs ago and stale looking, I found a whole clove of garlic in there which took up the whole tiny plate they served it in so in fact we barely got a tbsp serving of awful hummus. The bruschetta tomatoes were bad, acidic and one bite I knew they had turned bad. I sent them back and the waiter asked if I wanted to replace it so we requested to have another serving of the tapenade. At this point the 5 slices of bread that comes with appetizer were gone. So he brings me the tapenade but no bread! How are we supposed to eat this, dip our fingers??? The calamari portion was small but it was ok tasting, the batter was falling apart and it seemed like it was not fresh. As a main, I ordered the veg balls with CREAMY POLENTA and tomato sauce. Well the veg balls were more like cumin garlic balls. The flavours were so overpowering and the polenta was far from being creamy. It was cold and a chunk of polenta ...not smooth. The sauce that topped it, was gross. If this restaurant wants to be authentic i think they need to spruce up their ingredients. Customer service should also be looked at. The waiter was inattentive ( no bread with my olive tapenade) and I had to ask for water. This was my 3rd time here AND CERTAINLY MY LAST! OVERPRICED FOR awful food! McDonalds is probably better compared to this! Yuck. Two stars is being generous, my Aperol Spritz drink was good and the hostess in the...
Read moreWent for supper with our friends , good area with lots of parking and conveniently next to the cote vertu mall. Rustic vibe, nice atmosphere and well decorated. Leather seating definitely needs to be fixed cause it does make the place worn down. We were told they were revamping the menu so not everything was available.
Sorry forgot to take pictures but we order a bbq pizza, meat balls, fish and chips, tony burger, mussels and fries with a Alfredo noodles for the kids. Drinks, we order sangria which had a bit to much ice and sweet but good, and Couple beers for the boys. Everything food wise tasted good, no complaints, except ….
Our kids noodles came extremely hot that you could see the steam coming from the plate. Now I am no Gordon Ramsey, but watching any cooking shows when plates arrive like that, food was cooked then reheated in a microwaved at high temperature. We had to ask for an extra plate so we could cool down the noodles. Adults were served first before my kids were.
But the biggest complaint is the bathrooms! Now I won’t go into details about what we seen in the bathrooms but they were both extremely disgusting, not just dirty but filthy!🤢 Definitely not cleaned for days. Now again watching any restaurant shows the bathroom reflects the kitchen so I’m not sure about the food now and just praying we don’t sick.
Other than those complains everything’s else was great, staff was friendly and attentive. We sat next to the guy making the pizzas, it was nice and open. If the pizza guy did tricks like throwing the dough up that would have been awesome especially for the...
