A gem of a cafe and my favorite on the island. I’ve been to many.

The owner is very welcoming, kind, and involved, he really cares about this cafe and you can tell it’s his passion.

Food and pastries are incredible and you would never believe that many of them are vegan. Delicious coffee and they offer every type of milk, from cow milk to macadamia.

The atmosphere is really cozy but fun, there’s board games and books for the customers to use so it’s impossible to get bored. They’ve also got their alcohol license which makes it the perfect place for a drinks and board game night between friends.

The service is great and the baristas are absolutely amazing, they’re always so friendly and helpful and they seem to stick around for a while. I have never received bad service here and I’ve been coming regularly for a year now.

There’s also little play area where your kids can play.

I have no notes, it’s a must try for newcomers to Verdun and a go-to...

Loved the place! All Vegan. We went for two Cortados, a regular croissant and a BLT. Cortado was very good. BLT was great as well. But what we loved the most was croissant - one of the best we've had in Montreal. In fact, after our meal, we got another regular one and a chocolate one for home. The chocolate one was also amazing! While there's 2-3 tables at the main floor, they have a large seating space in the basement that can accommodate a large group. There's no table service since it's two people running the show. So you basically order and once it's done, you can take it and sit wherever you want. They have a small grocery store in the back (which is perhaps another business) which is great to check out while you wait for the order. They also have small plants available for purchase and from what my wife mentioned they were almost the same price or even less compared to the supermarkets. Definitely...

First I love the idea of plants being sold and love community. The service though as nice and smiley as they were the lady didn’t really treat me well. I ordered 2 chocolate croissants she gave me the basic croissant. I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 lattes to go, she had the staff make the sandwich (very long wait) then AFTER they made the sandwich she had the latte made. So I wait like 15 minutes or more for the sandwich just to wait another 5-10 minutes for the lattes. They made them for here, then poured them into a to go cup to go after. The cups to go are 90% smaller than the cups to stay so I’m not sure if you pay more for less for to go lattes. Anyways I hope next time it’s a bit more organized and order of operations is more wise. I had a cranky baby in a stroller who did not enjoy waiting. And I did think the food and...

Café Jardin has the flakiest, vegan-butteriest, most delicious croissants! I brought a bunch to a gathering and everyone was shocked to find out they were vegan...they're that good! I've also had the vegan cashew-cream croissant and the banh mi sandwich and both were outstanding. And a special shout out to the cafe chef/owner(?) - I was looking for some vegan, gluten-free pastry options for 2 celiac friends and they didn't have anything ready, but the chef offered to make some special gf cashew-cookies in 10 mins while I waited—my friends were so grateful! The customer service is always top notch. 5+++

This is officially one of the best places I have been too! They have friendly staffs, beautiful interior, amazingly tasty vegan food, and most importantly, they are completely zero waste. It’s a nice environment to sit down and do your work and reading, they also have really good coffee with different plant based milk to offer with. A zero waste market called LOCO is just inside the cafe, I did a 5 star review to the market as well.
