Tried to hide the allergen in the plate, after I told them it would put me in anaphylactic shock. Don't trust them for your allergies!

Years ago, I ordered a dish that came with caesar salad. I told them to be sure to not put any dressings because of my severe allergy of the anchovy in the dressing. I told them clearly that if I consumed any anchovy (or any type of fish/seafood), my throat would swell up and I would stop breathing. Once I got my dish, the dressing wasn't only over the salad, but every other ingredient on the plate. I told them I couldn't eat it, so they said they'd could make a whole new plate and it would take 15 minutes, which was fine for me. They came back after less than two minutes claiming I was in luck because someone else had ordered the same thing. They simply game me their dish. I thought that was odd, and unfair that the other customer would have to wait longer for their food. But the waiter insisted it was fine, so I accepted. Suspicous, I used my fork to lift up the lettuce to look underneath it. And I saw the dressing. It was under everything, just like the dish that I returned to them. They clearly just tapped dry the top layer of my whole plate to make it look like there was no dressing, when it was in fact, all over the dish. If I ate any of that dish, it would have been a fatal reaction. And I had clarified this to the waiter many times.

Since then, maybe they became more sensitive to people with allergies and learned to take them seriously. But with such a horrible experience, I can never recommend this place to anyone. If they can't take life-threatening allergies seriously, how seriously do they take sanitation, contamination, cleanliness, etc?

UPDATE: After posting the below review, the owner contacted me and refunded me for my order. I was also advised that he spoke to his delivery team to ensure they are more respectful going forward. It seems that the owners really do take quality of service to heart. In light of this, I'm updating my review and will be giving Woodland's another chance.

Ridiculously bad delivery experience. In short: We paid over $30 for a pizza that came 2 hours late with rude service by multiple employees and way too much drama.

Details:

We ordered the Woodland Special pizza and wrote "NO MUSHROOMS / SANS CHAMPIGNONS" in the notes for the pizza itself and in the delivery instructions as well. 45 min later the pizza arrives with mushrooms.

I call back the restauranr, she says she'll send another pizza without mushrooms. Delivery guy makes a big show of taking back old pizza and giving us new one. SECOND PIZZA ALSO HAS MUSHROOMS!!!

I call back AGAIN and the lady is incredulous. She says she will send a third pizza. By the time we got it, it was 2 hours after we placed our original order. I told the delivery guy in advance that I wanted him to respect social distancing at the door because we're particularly at risk, and the guy freaking rushes me the minute I open the door even though those instructions were written on the box!! I've been going here since I was a child, as a adult I would order from here a few times a month, but lately the food has gone down hill,and when I call to order the person who answers sound so miserable and is very rude.i got a vegetarian pizza and it was so badly soggy,it was falling a part when i would try and pick a slice up,it also seemed under cooked on top of that, and this isn't the first time I received pizza like this from here,if it was only once I wouldn't mention it,and from friends ordering pizza from there they have also had under cooked soggy pizza delivered to them, I don't know if there rushing to get things out fast that they don't cook the pizza as they should but as for ordering pizza from what once use to be the best pizza in verdun I will never order pizza from them again,I also won't order salads from here, every time I order salad there is hardly any salad leafs in it, it's mostly the hard white stuff at the bottom of the lettuce,and for the prices of the salads I would really like to have some fresh green salad in it.they do still have some good stuff on the menu tho, my favourite thing to eat from woodland restaurant is London steak!
