I had very unpleasant experience today at St. Henri Jean Talon. First I have to say, we have been their regular customers for more than 3 years. Every weekend (summer or winter) we buy our groceries at the market and always have coffee at Saint Henri. And buy coffee home. Today, we went there, took a table on the patio outside and I opened up a container with food to feed my 1.5 y.o baby who was hungry and crying. We had a stroller and multiple bags and stuff in our hands. We sat at the table, we’re in the process of settling down before going inside to get coffee. I’m about a minute a barista from the coffee told us that we cannot take the table if we did t order anything… Come on, really?! We have JUST sat down. I get that there are rules… but he could have waited for like 10-20 min to make sure that we are sitting there without ordering anything and not make remark after just 30 seconds. I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave honestly. Normally stuff is very nice there, we were going there with a baby since she was born and were very loyal customers. Please tell your employees to be more emphatic to the customers especially the ones with babies. Sometimes parents need just a couple of minutes to take breath, ok? Also, I got my cortado “to go”, but I...

WARNING: AGRESIVE SERVER / WARM ICELESS FRAPPÉS Two weeks ago I asked for a frappe beverage, It was awesome, full of frappé ice with great flavour. A week ago I asked for the exact same frappé beverage, I received a warm beverage with a couple of ice cubes, I said nothing.

This week I asked for the same frappé beverage, being extra clear and making sure that the server understood my order. I received AGAIN a warm beverage with a couple ice cubes, we are in a heat wave, I told the server that I have asked for a frappé beverage, not an iced beverage, she took it away to fix the order.

What I received was a wam, frothy beverage. When I told her that it wasn't what I asked for she said that she had put her blender in "frappé mode" so it was correct for her, when I told her she needed also put more ice for that to work as a frappé beverage, she VERY AGGRESSIVELY said "that's how we do it here" This are no cheap beverages, also I always leave a nice tip, because the other woman taking orders is very nice, but to be handed a wrong order and being AGGRESSIVELY MISTREATRD while asking for the correct one, is a hole horrible experience. Gave them several chances, not...

Astonishingly stupid and rude staff who looked like they'd be more at home cooking crystal meth than serving as baristas. Not that I cared about their appearance, but it seemed the only explanation for how they could be so useless at making a simple hot drink. I ordered a filter coffee (which they make in a Chemex) and they were forever and a day getting it, basically because they set it brewing and then forgot about it. By the time I finally got it, it was cold. I asked if they could heat it up or remake it but they tried to make out it was my fault for putting milk in - as if adding a small amount of milk to a cup of coffee were some strange thing that no-one ever does. Anyway, I can't think why I'd ever want to go here again and will certainly avoid next time I'm...

Honestly, it is a cute café, small. Nice that it's directly next to the marché jean talon- really had to pee when I got there so it sucked to be told they don't have restrooms. Employee was nice - she did initially forget to add the mapple syrup to my latte so the first sip was bitter. They didn't really have much pastries. Idk, wasn't like " wow this is where I wanna get coffee often " - you need to drink you coffee fast too cuz the to go cup doesn't really hold itself strong.

Like every other Saint-Henri location around, you want amazing tasting coffee but horrible service? Go here! They simply do not listen to how you order. I ordered large, extra hot, no foam cafe latte. They gave me small, room temperature, full of foam. Seriously, come on! But what can I say? The the coffee tastes amazing.

I’ve written many poems here. The coffee is always swell and the spot has a very sleek and clean, clear and cold feel. The cold part is half good, it forces you to get outta dodge but it also looks really cool. Great facilities and some interesting decorations round out the good feels. They have vegan muffins usually...
