Basha (Marché Jean-Talon) — Restaurant in Montreal

Been going there for the past several years and everytime I go there to order takeout, always great service 🥰 It's a very spacious place with many seats to dine at and always clean everytime I go there 🫰(But we usually order for takeout)

Last night, Monday the 19th 2025 after a long day at work, my husband and I was looking someplace to eat for takeout and we saw the Basha was still open so we order there and get also the chance to chit chat with the staff there last night ! These two young boys were friendly and absolutely love the vibe there 🧡🧡🧡

We always enjoys their potatoes and their food there, it's well seasoned and easy to share for us! Love Basha's food in general ❤️

DONT ORDER IF YOU HAVE PEANUT ALLERGY! I ordered a plate of beef shawarma. I react severely to peanuts so I asked to employee that served me if my plate contains peanuts, he said nothing contains peanuts. I bring to food home and had a SEVERE REACTION. I called them to make sure nothing contained peanut, they still told me nothing contained peanuts. I had one of the worst time of my life. Something must’ve touched peanuts, otherwise i wouldn’t get a severe reaction. I am now thinking about going to a lawyer because this was life threatening. I hope the store can reach out to me...

We came here because of the good reviews on google, we weren't disappointed, this is the best Basha in Montreal! Amazing service and the food is absolutely delicious. You can see they put a lot of effort and pay special attention to detail, the marinate the turnip and pickles themselves! The meat is perfect, it's the real deal, not the frozen stuff, they really care about the food they are serving.

Homemade hummus and the garlic sauce are amazing, we'll come back for sure
