I ordered the butter chicken curry from the menu, three samosas and a can of Coke.

Total: $22 with Tip

The order took a little less then 10 minutes, packed up in a nice paper bag Ingot home and began unpacking it.

Inside the bag was a plastic container with Butter chicken that was a terrible portion. Just a little over half the container.

The 3 Samosas were cold and hard as rocks, barely edible. And the rice? Wait.. doesn’t curry normally come with rice? Am I missing something?

Quick google search on my phone, every image shows butter chicken with a side of rice and Nan bread… so I’m not crazy. I mean… who would charge $22 for half a plastic container of butter chicken, three rocks… I mean… samosas. There must be a mistake.

I went back and inquired about the rice, I was told that it cost extra. You’ve got to ask for it separately. I mean.. I know it’s butter chicken but who just eats butter chicken without rice or bread? Anyways…. Still moving along I ask “How much for a side of rice?” I was told $3 and cash only.

Cash only… yes of course so the machine doesn’t get use and taxes can be avoided, that makes perfect sense.

Rice shows up in nice environmentally friendly styrofoam container, I go to pay cash with a $20 and the staff member ROLLS HIS EYES AT ME because I don’t have a smaller denomination. I apologize and let it be known I can use my card.

Still rolling along… knowing full well I’m going to review this place, smiling and nodding….

I get my change back and it’s $4.50 for the rice. I didn’t even get the proper change back.

So now this meal has cost me a total of $26.50

I could have spend $26.50 and made enough butter chicken and rice to feed a family of 20.

Finally thoughts:

Cleanliness: -The environment was dirty -The table I sat at while waiting still had food on it -The menu I was looking through had some random sauce on it -The floor was dirty

Mood: -The staff was friendly (But not helpful) -Smiles were on everyone’s faces -The music was nice -TVs playing awesome videos

Food: The samosas we’re garbage and definitely cooked from frozen, nothing beats hand made samosas.

-The butter chicken tasted like it was from a can you buy from the grocery store, it was okay at best. Very very generic.

-The rice was surprisingly nice and soft, the PERFECT partner to go with a dish like butter chicken. It shouldn’t be so difficult to match the two on a menu.

Overall this place gets a 2 / 10. It has SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be something greater but it’s not. It’s in a great location but just deprives itself with over charging, awful portions and horrible service.

Very unfortunate

I’d rather eat cat food then...

I have been regular customer and have tasted most of the items they have it on their menu. Initially when the restaurant was launched they maintained the quality and quantity very well. Now that after gaining trust, they have degraded the quality of food thinking customers would return (this is big no no guys when you're into restaurant business, never do that).

Chicken Biryani - 2/10 - the taste keeps fluctating, sometimes good, sometimes worst, guess head chef is not same all the days!! Mutton Biryani - 4/10 raita with biryani 1/10 - you guys put onions in that, by evening they rot during summer Kulchas (any) - 8/10 Mutton Curry - 6/10 Manchuria - 5/10 - taste is good but less of gobi/meat and more of corn flour dough. Fried Rice - 7/10 Kothu Paratha - 5/10 Pakoras - 5/10 - sometimes too oily, sometimes good.

Worst of all it that, the rice is base for all biryanis. Dum biryani is supposed to be cooked slow along with the respective meat to get that...

This review is not for food. You guys do great job at cooking. This is regarding the girl who took our order. I ordered Mirchi Bhajji, idli, veg puff. She took the order but in place of mirchi bhajji she packed chicken rolls. I am a vegetarian who does not even eat eggs and was served chicken. Upon calling the restaurant to complain, the girl said she was sorry and cannot do anything and hung up in my face. I called again and she said that it was not her mistake and she blamed chef for adding chicken in veg roll. I wanted to speak to the owner or to someone who atleast know how to speak to customers but she said no one was available and restaurant is too busy. She asked me to visit restaurant today again to check how busy it is. This mismatch of order has happened twice but atleast 1st time I was still served veg food but this time it was...

Today in the evening I had picked up a chicken biryani and 2 plates of dumplings from Hyderabadi Cafe. After coming home, I saw that there was no chicken in the chicken biryani and the biryani was giving a stale taste. Sambhar also was not good in the test, so it also had to be thrown in the dustbin. Whole food was bad, money also wasted. When I called and said, no one was listening. There is also a photo of biryani and coconut chatni. Don't even pack the chatni properly , the whole box was opened. I will give 0 only.

Ordered 2 biryanis. Barely any masala inside.. it’s the only restaurant where they ask you to ask them to put Masala inside a biryani.. Even after telling them, they still don’t do it.. Very poor response from the owner Karthik, not even a replacement was provided. Once I even ordered a chicken 65 biryani which is supposed to be boneless and there wore multiple bone pieces inside it.. ridiculous
