Chowrasta Biryani and Curry point — Restaurant in Montreal

Wanted to give a 0 if I could. We ordered Mutton biryani and gongura mutton curry. The curry was watery and clearly made with tomato paste.

The biryani, which is the highlight of the day, has gone bad and it was smelling bad as well. They sold stale biryani to us which is clearly a health code violation! When called back, the people were not too cordial or sorry about the matter. We had to drive all the way from South shore with the food as proof that we didn’t eat it. Ultimately they refunded our money.

Horrible experience, never going back. To the so called manager who didn’t want to talk initially with us after we drove for an hour: you don’t have to respond to this review. Thanks.

We clearly and politely told the person on the phone that we were regular customers and this was a first time bad experience. The way you treat your customers and indirectly call them liars shows how much you have respect towards your customers.

I clearly told you that the we were not complaining about the taste, but that the biryani has gone bad. You said we were making scene for a “small issue” and I feel sorry for you for the way you make assumptions about people when you can’t deal with your own problems.

Disappointing! I’ve ordered Chicken 65 biryani tray worth 35$, with special instructions. I mentioned to add double masala, to my surprise there was barley any masala. Food was bland, the rice itself doesn’t have any flavour. Chicken pieces didn’t had any taste, at least the restaurant should have included any gravy to counter the lack of masala. One star will be for quantity and the other would be for delivery.

Edit: after viewing 5 star reviews, I can clearly differentiate the food I got and what they got. Some of chicken 65 biryani was with gravy and masala. Mine was dry and disgusting.

Edit 2: If you’ve served bad food, why would I give you 5 star. What are you expecting? That people would ignore and eat anything you serve. What are you talking about genuine ratings, do you think I get paid by someone to review your place. Coming to masala, you didn’t even put a 3 tablespoons properly. You can have a look at the pic. I’ve ordered a tray and a regular, where was your utmost care when sending the food. If you really want to be better, get better at cooking not attacking...

I have ordered Chicken Biryani/Chicken 65 Biryani and Chicken 65..Trust me its not at all worth it...The rice is not even close to Basmati and Chicken 65 is not even full cooked. Same with Chicken Biryani pieces. Even after mentioning about Masala twice there is none. This is not the first time food was bad..Many times me and my friends have encountered the same problem. Before I didn't give review but informed you by calling to change the way it was coz it was new so thought maybe you guys will improve..but nothing has changed and no consistency. Only getting worse every time. 1star is more for the money I spent and the taste I got. This time am more frustrated. Maybe this might be the last time I will order from here...As we don't have many options for Authentic Hyderabadi food we tend to choose from only 2 restaurants..but not worth it....
