Coco Frutti Saint-Léonard — Restaurant in Montreal

I have been going to this restaurant for many years as it's close to my home. The restaurant has changed names a few times and owners several times. Throughout the years, regardless of the change in ownership, the waitresses have always been the same. However, since this last owner has taken over, the waitresses have been quitting one by one, and that makes me question what is going on. I have noticed one of their best waitresses missing these last few times, and today I inquired about her and was told that Amina left. She was the only reason I kept going there (because of her service) as the quality of food has gone down. The coffee was burnt and old. The potatoes were not edible as the oil did not taste fresh. The waitress that served us does not know the meaning of the word smile. And the young man standing at the door......no clue what his job is apart from looking clueless. Their menu offers a wide variety of choices, making it very difficult for me to decide. I finally ended up ordering the French toast, which was simply outstanding. The food is absolutely amazing, with generous portions that provide great value for the price.

I’m usually quite picky about French toast, but this version was the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness and a delightful hint of vanilla.

Went on sunday morning around 10:00. Not crazy busy like a lot of places . Lovely atmosphere , calm and pleasant . Service was pretty good and the breakfast was great. Everything tasted delicious and hot . Portions were satisfying and prices also more reasonable than other places. Not pretentious at all . Thoroughly enjoyed my experience .Will be my breakfast choice from now on. If I had to improve on something , it would be the on the service, the waitresses were nice, but could be more sociable and interactive...
