Excellent service & food quality.
My partner has celiac disease and we really appreciate this restaurants attention to detail in providing gluten-free service. Our servers asked us whether we had allergies and changed my partner's dishes and cutlery immediately. The color red indicated her particular needs, as her cutlery were wrapped in red napkins and every part of her meal was served on red dishes. Furthermore, they offered her a warm and delicious gluten-free bread roll.
I ordered the linguine duck confit and was impressed by the texture and flavor of the dish. The sauce was rich, but subtle, and a pleasure to eat.
My partner had the gluten-free Da Vinci penne which was simple, but exquisitely crafted and delicious.
My daughter enjoyed a simple spaghetti dish with tomato sauce. She didn't finish it, but seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.
Our meals were expensive, but very high quality and generously portioned. Notably, as it was Sunday our daughter ate for free.
We definitely recommend Ottavio for pasta lovers in the area, particularly those who are unable...

One sure-fire way by which I judge a restaurant that uses the word Italian in describing its operations is ordering a simple pasta and tomato sauce meal the first couple of times. I look for the telltale taste of citric acid used as a preservative in food and drink, which tells me that the sauce as a whole came out of a can (and, at times, even which company’s can). It is easy to hide things in a more complicated meal, but when it comes down to your basics – your sauce and your pasta, you can’t hide. Most such restaurants don’t pass muster. Ottavio did, and in a big way. I ordered one such plate and was surprised against my expectations. My son’s lasagna plate was an even better experience. The selection is not huge but that is a GOOD thing. Add a modern environment and real genuine efforts by staff to keep up with a pace that can at times be hectic and you have a genuine go-to place for the area which, in my experience, is rare for a banner operation....
Read moreI am giving it a 1 star due to their complete inflexibility. My mom wanted to celebrate her 75th birthday at Ottavio because of the reviews, being close to their home, and because of their vegan menu (which is a major plus) but the restaurant only takes reservations at 5:30pm or 8pm. My parents cannot eat after 8pm due to medication that they take and 5:30pm is too early due to other previous engagements of some guests. We asked to speak to a manager and the woman on the phone laughed saying that no one would help us and that many people ask for 6:30pm-7pm and that they don't do it. I understand that they are in their right to decide, and we can go to a different restaurant but my 75 year old mother was excited to go to Ottavio with her family (which 1 is vegan) to celebrate her special night and now we can't because of total inflexibility. I find this completely unacceptable. And we will not ever be going somewhere where the customer has no say and where there is no...
