Potato Mozza - Amazing! But was expecting 2 like the photo. BUT it is huge! so it's ok. Still 6.50$ for 1 is still overly priced because there's no meat in it, it's just potato and cheese. They did have ones with sausage but it looked like regular hot dog so I didn't want to try ordering that. I hate how the french translations try to call hot dogs sausages... it's gross.
Fish Shaped Pasties - Absolutely delicious! Too soft, so I threw in the toaster oven to crisp up, and I love it. Eventhough they gave me 2, 7$ is still really expensive for what it is.
House Kimchi - No thanks. It's just sour and vinegar taste. Not spicy at all. I was expecting some fire sensation, but it wasn't there. It reminded me of the bland one from costco.
Japchae with extra beef - Wonderful textures and very juicy meat. However, the flavor was just not there for me, it's very bland. I need something stronger. Although the meat was very juicy, it did have a burnt aroma to it, which was unpleasant but tolerable. The potato glass noodles were wonderful squishy yet firm. It's a shame the sauce was under seasoned. Some salt did help but I couldn't taste anything but the salt, which tells me there was no flavor to enhance.
I think these recipes are very westernized to help the locals here since they're pallets are not use to foreign flavors. Sad, but I'll live. I'd love to try their fried dishes since they're very good at those. I liked the packaging, helped keep them crunchy. I did not want to try buying any of their dipping sauces though, they just seemed too expensive since I was just ordering for myself. This would be great for a gathering, not a...
Read moreJan 9th 2022 update: the soft tofu stew is soo good because it is so warm and soicy, the rice is perfectly cooked, I like that they put mushroom and fried tofu to soak up all the juicy soup. I would definitely order again. It is oilier than other places but spicy enough for me! I eat spicy.
UPDATED review: The owner approached me and they have changed their tteok kkochi recipe to make it more chewy! I will taste it next time. I tasted the double cheese (mozza+cheddar+sausage) and it is my new favorite because I love the two cheese combination.
Original review: I am so glad there is a corndog place in the west island! Finally, some korean food in the west! The korean corndogs are crispy slightly fluffy batter and i believe they use the costco beef sausage. The cheese pull is also so satisfying!! However, the tteok kkochi was a bit disappointing because it was not chewy, it was rather chunky ;(. The chicken wings were juicy!! The vegetable dumblings were nice and crispy too which came with soy sauce. I love the fact that we can out our own sauce. They have such a big...
Read moreFood was tasty, I order the honey chicken whole chicken and the beef combo with a mozzarella corn dog with sausage. There are a few issues I have. The beef combo portion is somewhat small but it is accompanied with a miso soup which was alright. The corn dog only had half a sausage inside which was wierd. The honey chicken was the only satisfying product in terms of portion and flavor. The biggest issue is the speed of service. 30 minutes for the order. Everyone in the kitchen is working soo slow like it is their first time in a kitchen. I highly recommend patience when ordering from here as it is slower that a fancy restaurant. Pricing was very expensive for...
