District 961 has been a go-to place for a night with shishas and good drinks.
I've been there three times and have had three different experiences.
The first time I was there was for a friend's birthday. The restaurant isn't very big but it makes it cosy and when it fills up with the music and the lights dimmed, it gives a pretty nice atmosphere.
The food we had that night was a pre-chosen mezza for 35$ each. I wasn't VERY happy with the mezza just because it didn't include a lot of variety for the price (for example, there was no tabboulé, the fattoush came in a weird bowl and the manakish (which aren't part of the usual mezza) were made on this weird pita bread that made it hard to eat). It also took a long time to get the meat and fries. Now for the drinks, I have nothing to say. The drinks are good and the alcohol in them is generous. I've tried the red sangria and a mojito (10$ each), both were delicious!
The music on that night was fun and although you can't really dance because of the tight space, we found a way to do so and to celebrate!
The second and third time I was there, I was with less people and we ordered food from the menu directly. Let me tell you: it made a huge difference!!! The nachos were delicious, as well as the vegetarian sandwich I had the second time. I also reordered every drink I've had the first time since they were so good and even 9 months later, they didn't disappoint.
The shisha service is good. They have multiple flavours and there's a designated waiter that goes around tables to check on every shisha.
If you're with a small group of people, you can ask for a backgammon board or a deck of cards. They also have TVs to watch the...

I ordered a drink, did not get the right one and still got charged for the wrong drink Midway through the night the waitress said she lost track of who ordered what on my table, so she wanted to split the bill by everyone (not fair but ok), I said fine but one of the girls didn’t drink so take alcohol out of her bill, she said she cant do that 🤷♀️ tho it is very simple math Dinner was very late to arrive. We had much left overs but they said they ran out of boxes so we couldn’t take them home Now thats all ok but I got very dehydrated. I needed water very badly. I asked for water 5 times, 3 different waitresses, did not get a bottle until I went to the bar and stood there 5 minutes.
When it was time to pay. I didn’t like the service, I only added 5$ tips on a 113$ bill. The waitress canceled my bill and added 15% tips because it is “kinda mandatory by their policy”, then proceeded to add 15% to everyone on my table paying after me without consulting them. 🤷♀️
DJ and dancer and drummer performances were great❤️ Food...
Read moreA not to miss party place on Fridays and Saturdays, an amazing chicha lounge with a fulfilling traditional lebanese food. You actually arrive for the supper and stay for the party, so bare with me here! A delicious sharing mezze, very rich in flavor and several servings of dishes you just can’t kick off your night in a better way. Then the party starts and the surprises keep on coming, a very nice lights setting and entertaining performers showing up for multiple shows under the sounds of a talented dj mixing oriental and western beats for a lightening ambience truly. Not to mention that their bottle service has very reasonable prices, way less expensive than many party places, which is a huge advantage in my opinion. Epic for birthdays, bachelorettes and or any friends gathering! On a side note you better reserve well in advance i would say a week at least to get yourself a nice table or even to get in, so...
