Meh...nothing special. Ambiance is like any other modern bar. Service is meh, we sat at the bar and the barmaid wasn't friendly, not mean but not friendly. She seemed friendly with other patrons... Maybe regulars? But my wife and I didn't get friendly service at all.
I asked for the special in Thursday as i didn't quite understand the blackboard. She tell me the happy hour one but not the food special.
Wife ordered the veggy dog, it's meh... It's a roasted carrot in a hotdog bread. this is like 8$!! Lol it's laughable... Although to their defense is does some with a small bowl of nuts.
I had the smoked meat, food is obviously not their strong point. The meat was very fatty, I mean chunks of in rendered fat.
The hummus was good but it's hummus, pretty hard to mess up really.
All in all I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it. So many other options in Montreal you don't need to go here, nothing terrible but not...

The place: I got the local bar feel when I walked in: super cozy and casual, with a fairly open layout (meaning that you don't feel like a sardine). Warm ambiance and laidback vibe. I like it.
The goods: I ordered Le Mur à Mures and it was DEE-LICIOUS! My date ordered an Old-fashion with some high-end whiskey or whatever one uses to make Old-fashions. He thoroughly enjoyed his drink and promptly ordered a 2nd. I really don't think you can go wrong with cocktails here. If I wasn't driving, I would've had a 2nd, too!
Service: Great - we were greeted when we walked in and our waitress was really friendly.
Price point: I let the beardo pick up the tab - I think it came out to about $40...
Read moreThe interior décor is nice, except for the kitschy “artwork” hanging near the entrance. The space is nicely arranged with a long bar to the left, tables against the right wall, and long elevated counters in the middle.
There are not a lot of food choices (it's a bar after all) but you'll find some finger food, cheeses and sandwiches. They have 8 beers on tap and a few interesting cocktails.
We didn't have to wait long between our drinks, which is what you'd expect at a bar. The staff also made sure we didn't need anything during our “meal”. Nothing special, but pleasant service overall.
Drinkerie is a cool place to grab a drink; don't count on having a fulfilling meal though. It does get rowdy and crowded after 10pm, and we did see Win Butler from Arcade Fire there (not sure if this is a frequent occurrence) so if you like groovy tunes and hope to spot a random local celebrity, check...
