So after getting 40 dollars from a pastor that helped me with my cost of existence, (place I'm staying at) I went towards the food bank and was starving, would be a couple hours before I could eat so I decided to ask a not busy Harvey's/st Hubert place (weird) if they had any food they were going to throw out and give to me instead because I'm struggling to start my business and am starving.
The manager was called out and immediately I felt I was going to get attitude as he asked if I had come before and I may have many months ago but he looked very familiar, like a school bully or ... a kid I used to fight with on my street, I don't know but he was a judgmental jerk and I said no, I would love to not have to ask for help, and it would be the last time, and I really appreciate it, I told him I'm doing my best to get my computer repair business going and he went behind the counter and told a woman to make me a sandwich (kidding) I heard her ask with a surprised expression "just bread"? but wasn't' sure... when I was handed the bag it felt quite light, and being extremely hungry I opened it after going out the door and it was literally just two empty buns. I tried eating them only to b e made to feel sick.
I'm not one to complain usually, and go and even write a review about a place, but the way this man disrespected me was abhorrent, horrendous. If someone says they are starving you don't give them two empty buns. What the hell man. What kind of world are we living in?
I went back in and calmly said someone forgot to put meat in the buns, I'm not pulling a fast one here, laughing, trying to break the thickness of the stench of monotonous spiritually deprived capitalistic energy of the place and inevitable negative reaction I would get, only to be greeted with even more attitude; he then spat out "YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE GIVES YOU SOMEONETHING AND SAY THANK YOU, NOT ASK FOR MORE)
i HAD SAID THANK YOU, BUT NOW I'm SAYING _ YOU. (You can fill in the blank sir). What, were you expecting me to come running in thanking you for giving me two frigging empty buns pal?)
If I had no other place to get food and could afford it, I would rather die, than to go back to that place. It was like a nightmare. Who does that? I get he's the kind of guy that pretends to hand a homeless person 20 bucks then snatches it back and laughs. The look in his eyes was very reminiscent of people who have been bullied their whole lives and become metro cops and power trip. You know when you can just tell someone is a posterior hole?
The good thing is that with coming economic crisis, he will be in the same situation, and there will be nobody willing to help, assuming there are people able to help him.
I can now get back to my potential filled life, with a great prosperous, happy, and successful future, while you're living your miserable spiteful, ego driven, unfulfilled go nowhere intellectually deprived, unhealthy food providing...

Whoever the owner is, they are extremely cheap and the management as well. I'll tell you why.
If you've been there often, you'll notice that it's mostly office workers who visit this place on weekdays, especially during lunch time. It gets packed, really packed.
Since they have an unlimited refill station, they noticed that at the end of the day, the CO2 (Gas in soft drinks) gets emptied. The reason I know is because one employee complained about it when i told her that my coke was flat.
So what management did, is they removed the 20OZ size fountain drink. I bet you that next time you go, they will give you instead a small cup. They will also give you one of the two following reasons: We're out of cups today OR (one I had the first time they tried to implimen this) since you dine-in, we give you a small cup since you have unlimited refills.
I gave the cashier a coupon and on the coupon it mentions a 20oz drink. I told her that it is fraud. she got scared and quickly pulled out a 20oz fountain size drink.
It's a shame to see greedy people cutting down basic services to save pennies. This is considered as fraud. Have you ever seen a fast food chain run out of medium size cups? Especially with an establishement as big as this place, which has 2 different businesses in it, serving two different types of customers? I don't think so.
If you want to give your money and get less than what you paid for, this...
Read moreThe building is very aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere is comfortable. I will preface with the fact that they do make the burger to temperature can either increase (or decrease depending on temperature) your wait time. Unfortunately if there are a couple of orders before yours that are medium well/well done (blegh), it can hold you up a bit and is quite unfortunate. But, now onto the food review:
I need to give it another visit before I give it a whoppin' 5 star, like the Whopper from Burger King, who needs it your way, when Harvey's can just make your plate the beautiful way.
They create art on your plate, it's very delectable. They exquisitely cook the burger temperature as requested. I prefer Medium Rare and a lot of other places seem to have trouble getting the right temperature. They do have the tendency to overtoast the buns a bit, but the char is a serendipitous addition to the flavor. Do keep an eye on it though, it can be overkill sometimes.
So, the next time I'll visit, I'll be sure to provide pictures of their finely crafted masterpiece of meat. The flavors are a symphony's attendees dancing to the marvel of a beautiful melody. I do recommend this place. The burgers are awesome. I'll be sure to try something else next time too.
