Cute little “eggery” on the corner of Parc and Laurier. Went there spontaneously with my girlfriend as we were both hungry. The place was rather empty, and we were greeted and seated within seconds. We both got eggs bene with different toppings, and it’s safe to say that we both loved it! The eggs were perfect, the bread was great and although my girlfriend didn’t love the fruits, I did! Although a bit expensive for my taste, the orange juice was great too. That being said, the coffee they serve really didn’t match the rest — it was really bad.

Stay away!! They served me a mostly raw breakfast sausage. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until had eaten most of the first one because I was so hungry. This just happened so I'm very scared for potential food poisoning. The restaurant didn't seem to care at all and only gave a $5 rebate. All they said was to do a bad review if I wasn't happy. Good to know that this place doesn't care if they might have given someone food poisoning!! On a side note, the tables felt like they were covered in glue because they were so dirty. Stay away!!

We went for my daughter birthday (her choice) and it was really good. It is a busy place for Saturday , so we wait a little until they found a place for us, but worth it. A lot of different kind of shakes and types of breakfast dishes, waffles and crepes. The names are hilarious so have fun reading the menu. The stuff is busy but courteous so have some patience if you need something after you order. Men's bathroom is small but functional and clean. The price is in the mid range.

Overall, our experience at this restaurant was nice, but we were very disappointed with the menu and the supposed gluten-free options. The menu claimed to offer gluten-free dishes, but in reality, there were none. When we mentioned that one of us was celiac, the owner refused to serve our friend, seemingly due to a lack of understanding of what celiac disease actually is.

From what we gathered, the restaurant’s so-called gluten-free options were not truly gluten-free, as they used the same grill and toaster for all meals. This made the experience quite unpleasant. What was even more frustrating was that the owner didn’t communicate this himself but instead had the server deliver the bad news. This put her in an uncomfortable position, which was completely understandable.

That being said, the service itself was excellent. Our server was kind, accommodating, and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. She was genuinely sorry about the situation and even decided not to charge our friend for the smoothie bowl she ordered. While this was a very kind gesture on her part, it’s disappointing that the owner didn’t take responsibility for the misunderstanding and cover the cost himself.

What made this even worse was that our friend had called the restaurant a day prior to confirm that gluten-free options were available, and they assured her there were. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false, which led to a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Would we return? Definitely not. While the service was great, the lack of transparency about their gluten-free options and the way the situation was handled by the owner left a bad impression. If you have dietary restrictions, especially celiac disease, I would strongly advise caution before...

Update:

Unfortunetly I have to change my review. I have been coming to this location for 4 years (see original review below). Due to the pandemic and closures haven't been in a while but today I had a craving and drove half way accross the city to enjoy what had been up to now a solid breakfast.

Seems Oeufrier has revamped their look, menu and prices. Obviously pride hikes are expected since services and goods have inflated over the last year. However, the quality is not there. Eggs were okay, Italian sausage was dry and overcooked, potatoes were bland...no seasoning or anything...just a sad looking and tasting plate. Coffee was also very bitter and stale, just a bad aftertaste like it had been sitting. It's a shame because it was so good but now not worth the drive or effort.

Maybe I'll check back in a few months and see if things improve.

Original Review:

One of my favourite breakfast joints. I believe it is underrated and understated. Quick service, good food and not much else you...
