Totally wished I took a moment to photograph my dish but I was beyond hungry! They have such a great coffee selection here and have a roastery off location that provides an ongoing supply of freshly roasted beans! The Eggs Benedict on a bagel was delicious! There’s something so deliciously savory the way the soft boiled egg, hollandaise sauce and mild Swiss cheese (I’m normally not a fan of Swiss but in this combination it was sublime!) melded with the added taste and texture of the Canadian bacon and the sesame seed bagel! It has an unpretentious vibe and bustling atmosphere and the service was fantastic as busy as they were. I’d have to say this seems pretty commonplace in the way that you are engaged and treated in Montréal as a whole! Btw: my dining companion supplied me with a photo for you to ponder and enjoy!

It's a long time since our last visit to Toi, Moi et Cafe. We loved it when they were on Notre Dame and at one point they were hoing to open in Verdun. Anyway, the cafe is well-established on Laurier. The interior seemed gloomy but we were seated quickly. The coffee was good, we ordered, and the food arrived promptly. I had the carnivore Benedictine which was very good and exactly what I wanted! The eggs were nicely done and the pulled beef was tasty. The portion size may be on the small side for some people, but that leaves room for cake. The fruit consisted of 4 grapes, a small slice of pineapple, a small slice of melon, and a slice of grapefruit. Anyway, it was fine for what we wanted today.

This place was first recommended to me by a trusted friend for coffee. They carry a lot of variety which is evident from their stock. I had gone in for a couple of my friends to grab a hot cup of coffee when I was pleasantly surprised to see their desserts collection. Not a lime/ lemon person, I cautiously tried the lemon cake which was amazingly well balanced. The flat white I went for was good as was the latter my friend opted for : rich in flavor. I’m docking one star for the cheesecake, because on a very personal note, a sour berry compote is what goes better on a cheesecake to balance the sweetness than a jelly. The service was top notch and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

I had a really bad customer service experience here this past Sunday. The staff behaved like a bunch of belligerent high school kids, loudly joking around, not paying attention to customers. Which I guess could be fine if we had already ordered but we had to constantly try to wave our waitress down for any attention and when we did get her attention it was as if we had rudely interrupted her. She had the worst attitude I've seen in a long time, kind of impatiently taking our orders. I then had the audacity to ask about preservatives in their food because at the moment I'm under some strict food requirements for medical reasons. I understand that it's an unusual question/request. but I don't deserve to be looked at and treated like an absolute freak. The faces and attitude she pulled saying "quoi??" was intense. Then when I pushed for her to ask about it to the cooking staff (they would know what I'm asking about), she went to her fellow waitresses and asked them if they knew what the hell I meant with a ton of attitude. They of course all went "quoi??HAHAHA" as if I wasn't 1 foot away from them overhearing the entire conversation. I told her that it was unbelievably rude of them to laugh at me like that and then she tried to gaslight me saying they weren't laughing at me. I'm sorry but i heard the entire conversation. Be more aware of your surroundings and act more professionally in the future. Behaving like this isn't normal.

What was even more puzzling is that the person who seemed to be the supervisor in the whole situation, never intervened with their behaviour. It almost seemed like she was personally involved with her waitress staff. idk, but the leniency they got was bizare.

The food was only OK. With such an abundance of incredible options in Montreal, don't waste your time here. Go somewhere better. I regret eating here and wasting a Sunday...

Not the good place it used to be, we went for a brunch and we waited for almost an hour to be served, no explanation until we complained that it is taking too much time and because we noticed that most of people who came after us ordered and were served. We asked one waitress what is happening with our order, she answered rudely that it was not her who took our order but she will check, ten minutes later our waitress came and told us that they lost the ticket with the order..., seriously, there weren't 100 people in the restaurant to loose the order of 5 people, and even if mistakes like this could always happen, the least thing to do is to proactively let the client know and apologize. So in summary, the service was very mediocre, the food was also mediocre, we asked to warm the apple crumble, barely done, they forget to bring one beverage...never again, much better place in town to get a...

It was my second time there. My first time was ok - neither bad nor exceptional. But last night I went with my husband and it was awful. We walked in and the barista asked if we wanted to eat or we only wanted coffee, and we said we only wanted coffee. He told us to take a seat and the waitress would come over. The barista was nice and polite.

The waitress, on the other hand, was a different story. Threw down the coffee/drink menus on our table. No hello or anything. Eventually, when she did get back to ask us, she asked very abruptly, 'Qu'est-ce que tu veux boire?' Didn't ask if we wanted something else (I was thinking about it ordering a cake or something). Brought us coffee that tasted like it had been sitting there for a couple of hours. Never came back to see us, never asked if we wanted anything else. Horrible experience and I...
