Taste 3/5: Taste OK but nothing to go crazy about. Some ingredient listed on the menu missing in the sandwiches like onions and peppers. It was just straight up meat and cheese with barely any sauce
Quality 2.5/5: They cheap out of some ingredients compared to a year ago, most likely probably substituted to cheaper options
Quantity 1/5: There is considerably much less filling in the baguettes compared to a year ago. You can also tell from what I had this time around versus the pictures of other reviewers from over X amount of time. And as stated, some ingredients were clearly missing, 3-4 people in our dinning group made the comment
Value 2/5: Less quality and quantity at much higher price than a year ago. Ordered for a bunch of people, half took trios the other half didn't. We averaged out at about 22$ per person
Service 0/5: They can't seem to figure out their phone line is blocked. It directs you straight into their full voicemail. Makes me wonder if they ever take their messages? I was able to reach them the day prior after calling their other branch, telling them to contact St-Laurent's branch and fix their line... they still managed to not get the line fixed the next day for when I needed to order. I left my work to order take-out on site and had to wait close to an hour just to get my food, which would be understandable if I was ordering for 40+ people... it was for 13. In the meantime I saw 1 group of 3 get their food within 3-4min, and same with a single person ordering for himself. 20 to 30min would have been long but tolerable/understandable, they took 55min! If it was only that, (the phone issue, the long wait) I would have given 2 or 3 out of 5.... up until the staff made a comment on me not tipping my take out order. What is it with you all self entitled "need to tip take out" people. Some do and it's their own choice, don't tip shame me because of it. Offer me service at the table and I will gladly tip you well for that service. If you are still unhappy about it? Shame your boss for not paying you enough or change industry. The job market is in the employees favor, use that to...
Read moreThe place inside is extremely dirty, as if they have gone through renovations, dust has set on their tables and they've never bothered cleaning it. The baguettes in principle are good but the meat inside of them tasted old. Lastly the guy is in a huge hurry to do everything he messed up the order and ended up charging me more. When I called to ask for something he cut me off hastly and acted as if he didn't have time to take my order ?? Service 0/10 quality 3/10 please clean that place, idk how you guys are allowed to operate. AS A REPLY TO THE REPLY TO THIS COMMENT. No I am not mistaking at all, when I speak of tables I am speaking of the tables you work on, the mess on the lower platform below which you cook, the mess by the cash machine and all the usual dirt around on the ground. Instead of dodging the comment by saying I must be confusing you should clean around and make a better impression of yourself in general in order to keep returning...
Read moreUpdated review - Sad to say that my opinion of this place has greatly changed. No longer value for the price. Price has increased too high for it to be worth it. $20 a sandwich with tax picking it up. Sandwich is also much smaller. No longer is half a sandwich a fair serving. Now you may still be hungry after the whole thing if you have a big appetite. My partner and I also noticed that it's less tasty - there's noticably less sauce. I used to recommend this place but I won't do this anymore.
Seven months prior to newest update: Wow, these are delicious. We tried the chicken and carnivore baguette farcie and they were amazing! Next time I will add some dipping sauce. One half of a sandwich was enough for one sitting and then we reheated the other half a few hours later. Definitely good value! The bread is so perfectly crispy and not too...
