Mimimelon — Restaurant in Montreal

I cannot begin to sing the praises of Mimi melon. I have always maintained that they make the most delicious Challah I have ever tasted. This remains true and furthermore everyone who tastes It agrees. This past spring Jenny has coordinated my daughter's wedding celebrations and has produced masterpieces for her bridal shower her day of wedding breakfast as well as for most magnificent and mouthwatering wedding cake which was as beautiful as it was delicious. I dieted for two years just to be able to savor Jenny's delicacies. From her mouthwatering French pastries and croissants to her exquisite wedding and shower cookies -- each one a masterpiece -- to the wedding cake it's self I can only say that Jenny always exceeded my expectations and made everything Even more exquisite and delicious than I could ever have dreamed of As well Jenny always calmed my anxieties as a nervous mother of the bride and made sure that everything went off flawlessly and I could not be more grateful. I will always turn to Jenny for all my entertainment needs. She is a gift to our city and a gift to our taste buds. I would like to add that Mimimelon and Jennie continue to be my go to forr the most delicious baked good imaginable. I have never tasted a more delicious challah than Mimimelon and we look forward to enjoying it every Shabbat and holidays. We also dream about birthdays and Mother's Day because we will be enjoying the most delicious vanilla cake possible. Its moistness and heavenly vanilla flavor are simply what dreams are made of. yesterday, for example, was my 61st birthday and my beloved daughter ordered me the cake that we dream of eating on special occasions like her wedding. The cake was absolutely stunningly gorgeous, honestly the most beautiful cake I have ever seen beside my daughter's wedding cake. And I have to admit I nearly dove into the cake face first, it is so utterly divine. I have searched to find that perfect vanilla cake for years and years, testing recipe after recipe but nothing compares to Mimimelon's birthday cake and I have simply stopped baking. In addition their cookies are also the most delicious I have ever tasted. Honestly, we place our baked goods on the highest, most unreachable shelf so we do not automatically eat the entire package at once. It is simply ridiculous how many baked goods are on our THE BEST list. The challah, the cookies, the cake, the pastries, I could go on and on. The mini lemon tarts are simply magical. There is honestly nothing I would rather eat than these baked goods and when I die, if there is a heaven and I believe there is, there will be a platter of assorted Mimimelon delicacies waiting for me (assuming this is the direction in which I'm headed) In fact, if I do make it to heaven, I WILL dive in to a pool-size Mimimelon vanilla birthday and it will taste every bit as heavenly as it did right here on earth. [Edit after Reply]: If you had put in the same amount of effort what you put in to reply to this review, the cake would have been in a much better SHAPE! You CANNOT make up for a disappointing birthday celebration with your $10 discount! And its NOT my problem if you can't differentiate between a square and rectangle!

[Original Review]: Don't recommend for custom cake orders! We ordered a birthday cake for our 4-year old son and we got a very low quality cake! When we asked for the reason , the person mentioned that they can't design the exact cake in the picture(which I agree) however it was no where close to what we asked (Pic on the left is what we asked and Pic on the right is what we got!). When we asked to compare both the pictures, the person who designed the cake mentioned that its what they can offer and its pretty "Standard Cake" . Seriously ? If all the cakes come with 'Standard' shapes and sizes then why take Custom cake orders ?! Its pretty common sense to at least have the same shape ! Square is what we asked and we got a rectangular cake. Also, please have some basic email etiquette when you talk to your customers ! Highly...

I was recommended to go to Mimimelon, for a party that I was making , because one of my guests has several allergies including a peanut allergy. I bought an assortment of their tarts, and all individual different pastries, Also made to order cake pops. Everything was beyond the word outstanding and delicious!!!! ( and parve) Actually the best I’ve ever had, And all my guests agreed! Two weeks later there was another occasion to celebrate and I ordered their chocolate mousse cake, and customized writing etc. on top of the cake. Again, absolutely melts in your mouth delicious!!!! Most of all I would like to let it be known, that every staff member that I have dealt with have been above and beyond accommodating. I felt like I was treated like a close family member! If anyone has anything negative to say about this place, I would definitely say it is you that has the problem , with the way you explain the way you want something, or the way you speak to people.
