I haven't been in this market in yours although I passed it on the way to the expressway. This time I managed to whip up my camera on my phone because in ville Saint-Laurent there are planes fly overhead. On a whim I photograph the plane and lo and behold it was branded Qatar underneath. How cool is In the store I got some very fresh and better priced sweet peppers, and the rest were sort of indulgences that were a bit pricey. frankly I found the samosas way too oily and the sauce colourful but really watered down.otherwise they have a plethora of vegetables and much to my big time surprise they have a huge kosher section in there at the back on the left side. I didn't know this and I'm not kosher but for those that are this could be a good resorts for you. The service was good and they have lots of staff and they're friendly at the cash and there are fruits and vegetables all seem to be of excellent quality. The stalk of celery was $1.59 for the package and it is tasty. I think I ate all my other indulgences so I can't tell you what they were. It's a nice store with good quality food and easy parking near the expressway and it's definitely an old standard probably now bought out by somebody else and run by them. the good thing about Montreal and our diversity of ethnic origins and people's, is that we have multiple choices of all sorts of types of food from all over the world. I guess most cities have become international by now in the year 2020, but it's nice to have a number of choices within one store. It's a good store, it's decent, and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable because they're all fully involved it seems and nobody sitting on their hands lollygagging or just hanging around. Everybody's working. I also noticed a couple of people went over to some open window that I thought maybe they were making lunch sandwiches orsomething however it turns out that there are actually got a st. Viateur bagel franchise right in the store and they make fresh Montreal bagels st-viateur style! With the real st. Viateur sign! Now how fabulous is that. I should raise my four star do a four-and-a-half star because of that however we can't do that here. I'll go back again and next time,...
Read moreThey have 3 staff members for a full size grocery store and have the nerve to scream at you for politely requesting a cashier open at least one register for the 12 people in line. They also find a clever way of presenting berries so the visible ones look good and the ones in the middle are wearing fur coats. If you have the nerve to complain, they say “that’s how WE buy them-so naturally, we don’t want to lose the money, so we sell them the same way to you-don’t buy them again if you don’t like mold!”. When I returned and asked for a replacement (not even a refund), they refused because I didn’t have the receipt. They recognize me, because I’m a regular customer (yes, I don’t know what is wrong with me), and they refused, implying that I was masterminding a scam to get $6 worth of free berries! They are rude, unprofessional, filthy, and bordering on criminal. I will continue to recommend to my coworkers in the area to avoid this place unless they are fans of disgusting food and...
Read morePlace is unbelievably filthy. They proudly display piles of rotting fruits and vegetables. If you pay a minimum of attention you'll notice almost every surfaces is crusted with grime and molds. Bottom of meat displays are covered in dried up meat juice. When you enter you get blasted with the scent of rot. For some reason they sometime leave the entrance door opened for all the flies to get in. Also a lot of the workers wears filthy uniforms that doesn't appear to have ever been washed. But not all of them, some of the staff a very nice and polite but others will give the death stare as if you did something wrong. I always hate going there, the only reason i do is because it's at walking distance. Even then i sometime just leg it to the Provigo where it's fresher and actually smells good. Don't go there unless you are dying...
