This is my favourite place for bubble tea, however today my experience was awful! I was just letting the lady know that there are bags on the table where I was about to sit at, she rudely tells me I can’t sit there. Then I asked if I can sit at other tables perhaps? She continues telling me I’m not allowed to dine in. I still ended up buying egg tarts and bubble tea and Sitting at the bench in between the double doors where people enter and exit. It was definitely not comfortable! Halfway sipping through my bubble tea, that lady comes out and tells us for the third time that we are not allowed to dine in. I kindly questioned her why not? I normally dine in here with no problems. She rudely tells me how the chairs are too low for me which is completely BS! Imagine! You would expect the bakery to be more lively, considering the fact that it was the weekend. Based on one of the other reviews on here, that’s probably the same lady who works on Saturdays. Today is Sunday. Additionally, The place was not sanitary during covid, considering it’s a Chinese bakery. The pastries and baked goods were exposed in the air, which caused a lot of hesitations for the consumers to treat themselves. 👎 not going back anytime...
Read moreHi everyone, I just thought I would share my experience here at the Chinese bakery. First of all, I will start by saying that from having friends and family coming here on a weekly basis, the egg tarts in this Cantonese bakery is an above quality and usually pretty food. The egg tarts however are slightly more expensive than other similar Chinese bakery or the ones in Chinatown. So if you are willing to pay a little more for your egg tarts, it is The place for delicious egg tarts.
Now, they have steamed bread and also other products, like bbq buns (inside has bbq pork or other kind of meat), but what I personally don't like about the place is the meat bread and many baked breads are fried, and are quite oily. They have also red bean paste bread as well and they are fried.
They have also daily deals of bread that is a day old for 4.5$ plus tax (inside it has 3 bread), but you cannot choose what is in the bag.
To be honest, my experience with this bakery is a hit or miss. Either it is very good, or not so much. It is at a convenient location if you live in VSL,...
Read moreActually, it is exceptional to see a Hong Kong style bakery running alone, nor as a part of an Asian grocery store. In Montreal west island, this is like a treasure found for those who enjoyed HK style buns, cakes and ancient wedding cake lotus seed type pastries. It is wonderful to see a little shop turning out so many different products on a daily basis, fresh from the oven. It was an amazing site to see the Fried egg sugary dough, naked name Shakespeare (沙翁),near the displace window. The Curry Beef bun is exceptional. It worth a special visit just for that. Of course, there are Winter Melon Cake too, naked name the Wife Cake (老婆餅). It needs a lot of devotion and love to run a place like this, making customers feel like king and queen while visiting. Of course, no need to drive 20 km more to find similar things in Chinatown. West islanders and people living in Laval...
