I travelled an hour to get here and would do it again in a heartbeat, as it is surely the best grilled chicken I have had in Montreal. Unassuming on the outside, this restaurant is a treasure within. I ordered the half chicken with all the accompaniments (pita bread, fries, salad, and of course garlic sauce). It was freshly grilled and came out hot, juicy, and with crispy skin. The spices used are top notch, and the combo of chicken with fries and garlic sauce is unmatched. Owner is a nice guy too, who knows his stuff after doing this for 30 years. Read moreThis place was good more than a decade ago. Unfortunately the quality declined in the past few years and more specifically tonight, it was my last time eating there. The chicken is not fresh, dry, and has no taste. You'll be eating bread, garlic sauce, and pickles practically.
I also had a lamb brain (famous lebanese dish/sandwich) that is usually delicious when made properly, and this place used to make good ones, but tonight it had a funky taste. I put my sandwich down after 1 bite, pointed the issue to the owner then took off.
