I have mixed feelings about this peculiar place. My girlfriend and I went inside one early afternoon to get a coffee. This was before COVID19. The service by the owner was fantastic and our drinks were amazing.
Here is the problem. It was quite busy and the longer we stayed, it became clearer and clearer that my girlfriend was not welcomed by the other customers (i.e. the regulars). She was getting condescending stares from everyone, especially when she went to the bathroom. I didn't notice it at first but it was blatant near the end. Long story short: women are not welcomed.
Pretty shocking considering we are in 2020 and live in a country that prides itself on gender equality... If you don't believe me, I invite you to count how many women are there and compare it to how many men.
