We arrived amidst a bustling crowd of eager patrons and were warmly welcomed by the excellent and friendly staff to this intimate spot. Embracing the flavors of the season, we wasted no time in indulging in the offerings of the fall menu and immediately ordered a pumpkin spice latte (obviously). This is not your typical coffee with a small drizzle of cheap syrup. It is real, housemade pumpkin purĂ©e expertly blended into a velvety latte. This might be one of the best PSLs we've ever had. Our meal choices were equally fantastic. The BĂ©nĂ© Mac n' Cheese with a harmonious fusion of decadent cheeses was as satisfying as it was delicious, especially when you add the secret menu item: smoked meat, to it. Even the accompaniments proved to be delightful in their own right and not just filler. We savoured every last crumb of both the refreshing salad and breakfast potatoes. We also ordered an extra side (because we have to try everything)—"Pain aux courgettes" highlighted by a truly exquisite house-crafted pumpkin jam. We wholeheartedly recommend a visit. There may be a little wait (standard for brunch on a weekend, which is when we went), but we promise it's absolutely worth it.

Dropped by Toasteur Villeray for a midweek brunch around noon, and despite it being a weekday, there was still a lineup — a good sign that this spot is popular! Seating is quite limited, and since they don’t take reservations, I’d recommend going earlier if you want to avoid the wait. I ordered the “Brouillarde à la Marocaine” and asked to swap the goat cheese for halloumi (not a fan of goat cheese) — the staff was super accommodating with that, which I appreciated. The dish came with a fresh green salad topped with a few chunks of watermelon (a refreshing touch), and some nicely baked potatoes on the side. Overall, it was flavorful and satisfying. The cozy vibe and solid food make this a brunch spot I’d definitely return to. Worth the wait if you have the time!

This restaurant was a nice surprise for me. It welcomes you in a warm ambiance, the staff is always smiling and the menu is extensive. Food here has a specific twist, all the ingredients go so well together an there are some interesting flavors added to the classical dishes. I had the poutine à la maghrébine, a delicious combination of potatoes, eggs and a sauce with oriental spices. Every corner of my mouth was enjoying this platter. There were no seats when I went there but I gave my number and they called me as soon as they had space ( after approximative 30 min) The only thing missing was some options with salmon. I feel that this would be very well received by the guests.

So Thursday after picking up my daughter at Gare Central we were hungry so we googled breakfast places and came across this place it had good reviews and was on our way home. We got to restaurant and found you couldn't park anywhere on the street the restaurant was on. We tried neighboring streets and found that most spots were reserved for permit holders which was rather annoying. After circling around a couple of times I contemplated giving up and going elsewhere. After 3 tries I found a spot on St.Hubert street which of course necessitated payment.. around 4$. I bit bullets and paid. We had a bit of a walk to restaurant. When we finally got there we were told there would be a 20 to 30 munute wait. Not happy but we waited. Almost 40minutes later we were called saying a place was available. Great! We'll not so great it was on second floor at least a dozen stairs up! I am a senior with mobility issues no way could I get up and down all those stairs. We told the gentlemen and he said it would be at least another 20 minute wait for a seat on lower level. At my age and with my mobility issues I just couldn't do it so we declined and left. We walked back to car googled for another place to go and found A lovely restaurant called Casa9eme about 10mins away with easy free street parking and wheelchair ramp and were seated right away. We had a delicious breakfast and will definitely be going back there. I put 1 star for le toaster because I wasn't able to try them out. Too many issues for me to do a second chance. I...

I live in the area and this is the best brunch food in the borough. Unfortunately the service is incredibly slow. Almost always an hour wait to get a table, despite their recent renos adding a second floor of seating, and then when you do get a table, it takes forever to have your order taken, drinks and food to arrive (sometimes an hour for the food to come), and for the bill to be paid. It’s sad because this place truly has a great atmosphere with a great rotating menu (always with allergen-friendly options) but it seems like they are always understaffed. The staff always seem rushed and behind on everything, and I wonder if there’s only 1 person working in the kitchen (my guess).

I really feel for the staff who work here, and each of them are lovely people truly, but unfortunately the slow service makes it really undesirable to eat here, unless I arrive like as soon as they open, which is not brunch hours.

I also wonder if they hired more people in the kitchen or the food came out faster, if the wait time overall would be quicker.

Hope one day the business invests in...
