Upon arrival, there was a man and a hostess and the man was talking to the hostess and left her alone, she instantly picked up the phone and stayed on the phone for a few minutes with no eye contact at all. We waited for her to finish her conversation after several minutes. A quick eye contact to acknowledge your customers would be nice. Friendly serveuse who accomodated my request to prepare a little something special for my friend’s birthday 🙏🏻 and delicious mousse au chocolat came with a sparkler. My friend was pleasantly surprised. The Cesar’s salad was delicious and so was the tartare au saumon. The tartare au saumon was refreshing and divine. The tartare au bœuf however was disappointing. There were far too much sauce and it’s weighing on the heavier side in terms of sweetness. I don’t taste any beef at all, most restaurants would use a lot of sauce to mask the not-so-fresh beef which I hope it’s not the case here. Mouse au chocolat was really good and we appreciate that it wasn’t overly sweet. I feel that they have used good quality chocolate for the dessert.

i don’t think i ever would’ve been here if i hadn’t been invited. it is easy to get to right off the bridge, but parking is not obvious, as even GPS is sending me back into town for public parking. we ended up finding one on the street. the restaurant is quite cozy and low lighting makes it a very intimate setting. the decent spacing between tables is very welcomed.. always water on the table. bar in the middle of the place makes it easy to get drinks, even tho waiters are always available for that. some in our party were dissatisfied with the quality of drinks. menu is simple and easy. prices are a bit on the upper side, but still decent. food took a while to come and mistakes in orders were noticed, but corrected. i must add, the first order of fries we ordered for children came out nice, but the other orders that came with adult meals were over cooked. deception. most other food was good/decent quality considering the prices. will recommend, but personally probably won’t be a repeat customer.

I came here for dinner with my wife after a long drive to Montreal from Toronto. We've never been here before but decided to give it a try. We were greeted by the manager, Stella. She sat us down and immediately began tending to our every need from drinks, to her recommended appetizers right onto the main courses. The food was honestly absolutely delicious and I've never tried any of the appetizers before so it was nice to try something new that we really enjoyed. Atmosphere was ambient and service was quick. We finished the night with some dessert which was to die for. Price and portion size was very good and we actually walked away with a takeout bag. Thank you Stella for a great dining experience, we will definitely be coming back next time we're in Montreal.

Follow up review: The director of the restaurant called me and apologized for the mishaps and missed opportunity related to my original visit and asked me to give it another try. This was a nice touch and I appreciate the genuine appology

Since this place is so convenient for my groups to meet I decided to try again. This time everything was perfect. Prompt service, friendly staff, great warm food. I appreciated it alot more but I know extra attention was paid on this visit. I rated it up to 3 and will do a final score update after me next visit.

Original: TLDR; Avoid this place. Service is slow, food is mediocre, and it is very expensive. 1 star for the view.

Service: 0 stars Met 4 other friends there at around 5 P.M. 20 minutes after sitting down I had to get up and chase down the only server in the restaurant to inform him that we are ready to order food and drinks. This was the kind of service we got for the rest of the evening. I had to chase our server down TWICE to order a drink. Often took 20 minutes just to get a drink. When i told server about the wait, he offered us the beer on the house.

Go up after our meal to grab a smoke, beer half full, came back our table was cleared. We had not paid, nor were we finish our drinks! They offered us a round of beer.

I am not exaggerating on the times here... The invoice has the time printed on them I waited 30 minutes (no drinks/food on table) before I chased down the manager to tell her that we have been waiting to pay the bill for 30 minutes!! She asnwers that she thought we had paid already. Her manager... You know we have had issues all evening. Don't you think you should come and see us to make sure we are ok when we are sitting with our wallets in table, no drinks in hand, and just waiting?!? Server offered us another beer.

That's is 3 beers on the house and apologies over and over again. I don't go to the restaurant for free beers. I go for good food and good service.

Food: 0 stars Had the plain burger ($16) and poutine (+$3). Burger was basic. It's a burger northing special about it. Poutine was gross. I believe they reheat the poutines under a salamander broiler. The fries on top wlhad brunt tips, the cheese was tasteless, and the sauce was cold. I'm not a poutine purist.l, but this should not even be on the menu.

Friend got the safest fries ever... Cold, mushy, just not good. Server did bring another order of fries to make up for it though.

At that price point the food should be way better.

Setting: 1 star That's the problem, there is not other restaurants in this area. Locals are stuck going here id they want to avoid traffic. The view on the river is nice. The restaurant decor it nice but dirty bathroom, spider webs on the barnwood wall next to kitchen, and wobbly tables really take away from it.

Bottom line, will not go back. It is not worth the hassle.

Note to owner: if you have a all hands on deck meeting in your terrasse at 5pm and that you see your only server on duty having issues trying to be server, bartender, and hosted to the 15 patrons get one or 2 more of the servers in your meeting to come and help in...

Some dishes are average some are good. Service quality is not consistent at all. Sometimes you get good and friendly service and sometimes the service is so bad that will ruin your day/ night. Hospitality industry is all about the patron's consistent good experience. It is easy to understand if I have multiple bad experiences, I won't come back to spend my money there! This is not a michelin three star restaurant, yet the attitude of some of the staff is out of the world, very unprofessional and rude! The last time we went there the chef was angry and there was a commotion in the kitchen. We had to leave since he was not willing to prepare a dish according to my food restriction (allergy), The waiter told me I can only choose a single dish out of all the dishes they were offering on the menu due to the fact chef was not accepting any special request because he was angry? Our waiter finally got annoyed by my request and my frustration of the situation (since I didn't want to order that dish) he just turned his back to us and left abruptly without saying a single word, never to be seen again and ignored us as he passed to serve other tables. We had to speak with the manager and explained the situation to him completely. I told the manager it would be the last time I would set my foot in this restaurant. The management and owner should exercise due diligence in hiring...

have been to this restaurant before at the Outremont location several times and has always been consistent , Living on the south shore we decided to take the family for supper at the L'ile de Soeurs location, first impression was nice location near the water and nice looking restaurant, we decided to order a few entrees Calamari and crab that was ok at the very best but greasy and chewy "not the end of the world", while waiting for our main course and swatting several flies our order arrived quit quickly "mind you the restaurant was empty" simply said.......................everything looked old, salad was rusty and wilted, my daughters burger was tiny and the bread was so hard she could not eat it, my wife's main course salad was a pile of old lettuce with what looked like poached chicken with grill marks to say it was grilled, fries were all differently cooked clearly fried and reheated several times and so on so on it was clear the restaurant was quiet understanding that this time of year it is definitely much more quite for restaurants however the clients that come through the door should not have to accept lessor quality. Service was ok ,not ounce did the waiter ask if everything was ok ! after this experience not sure if i would return to any of...
