Madame Smith — Restaurant in Montreal

The crowd was super cool, the ambiance was amazing! Buuuuut don't go there if you want a culinary experience. Lol.

It's fine with drinks and stuff, but well. We asked for "Trempette étagée" and it came cold with cheap cold nachos, straight from the bottom of a "Montreal's Nacho's" bag. Very sad presentation in a very sad lil bowl. We were literally disappointed when it came at the table!

I do a better presentation for my only self, at home, even if I'm eating in the dark watching RuPaul's Drag Race.

At least, shrinkle some cheese, some lil black olives on it and put it in the Air frier™. I know we all are depressed, now, because of the war, winter, the economic crises and stuff. But Lordylord, make it a little pretty, for the joy of life! Please.

Sun will come back, people will go to your restaurant and they'll ask for proper nachos and if you keep serving them that, well. You know.

But, As I said, The Bingo animation was cool and the ambiance is very pretty, cozy and fun!

Girl, too overpriced. This is a cool bistro with great ambiance and warm service. But look, you just can’t charge me 26$ for a basic burger and fries or 24$ for a gyros with barely any meat. Yeah, you tasty but at a price point of 26$ for a burger i expect something delicious, like a dinner experience. At that price you just can’t throw a small table that doesn’t have enough room for me and my friends, url menus, paper napkins and forks in a jar and that wax paper food wrapping. Yeah.. I know there is inflation and stuff but we are not in 2030, it’s not yet the era of 24-26$ for bistro fast food with nothing memorable. There are tons of places in Montreal where for 30$ you get a chef, real restaurant food and a quality setting. TLDR; Food is good but not worth what they are asking for.

Regrettable experience at Madame Smith. Having been a few times previously for the drinks, we decided to sit on the patio and order some food Friday evening. Service was atrocious, incredibly slow, the waitress had to come back multiple times in 15 min increments after taking our order to tell us something we ordered wasn't available.... further extending an extended waiting time for some fairly simple food. Then when the food did arrive, it was underwhelming at best, insulting in some instances. One set of tacos looked like they just scraped off a regular filling from 1 taco that had been returned to the kitchen, onto 3 new tortillas and served us that. What little meat there was on the taco, was dry, cold and tasteless.
