Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this establishment in particular. I enjoy McDonald's daily.... it's my guilty pleasure. Im presently staying just down the street from this location for 6 months for work. I was so excited when I figured out how close it was to my lodging. Upon my first arrival to the restaurant I noticed a street person holding and opening the door for patrons... unfortunately he or they are also begging almost demanding change to enter or exit the restaurant. It made it very or extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant that I did not enter. My second attempt to visit the restaurant I did enter because the street person was not there... however they were very much present inside. That's fine however upon exiting with only one way to exit yoy have to choice... it's like the patrons are shamed... I witnessed it on several occasions. On this day in particular I hadn't eaten today and was wanting to have McDonald's for supper... once again the homeless beggers at the door... I entered very uncomfortably. ... I mentioned this to the front staff that took my order.. how it's so uncomfortable and the answer I received was that they could do nothing. This facility is filthy dirty... it's busy I understand but then the added shaming and ignorance at the door requires attention. As I prepared myself to leave I double checked to make certain there wasn't another exit. .. there isn't. I arrived at the door the men opened it and shake his cup in front of me. I was polite and thanked him.... however that's when he proceeded to confront me... and say that's alright don't pay me to open the door for you.... making me feel less of myself. This restaurant needs to live up to its family restaurant values... I have sympathy for the needy.. I give and donate to those in need I work with the less fortunate everyday. However McDonald's needs to put a stop to having their patrons harassed...
Read moreI had a pretty crazy recent experience at this place. I walk into this Mcdonalds and there was a crackhead laying on the front entrance floor. If I was a little smarter, I should have taken this as a red flag and leave…well I didn’t, so I decide to use the self serve service to order an ice cream cone. The machine didn’t print any receipt. I was about to go mention this to the only employee at the counter….but then another crackhead comes in and starts screaming demanding the employee tell him what time it was. I figured I would just wait until they bring out my ice cream. About a minute later two cops show up….however they were there for another reason. Seems there was another addict shooting up in the washroom. They spend some time getting him out. Eventually one of them tells the other crackhead that was screaming to settle down. At this point 15 minutes have gone by, there was only one customer ahead of me and I was still waiting. Next another 2 police officers come in…. They start joking around and say hello to one of the employees, they seemed to know him well. The employee asks if he can get them a coffee. Cops say sure and starts handing them out coffees right away. Seems they were only there to hang out. As im huffing and puffing at the counter and another employee comes out and asks “are you waiting for something”. I said yeah I ordered an ice cream cone 20 minutes ago. “Oh, let me get that for you”. So unless you want to wait forever and possibly put your life at risk, you should probably avoid...
Read moreI wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit, as I was quite disappointed by the experience. I understand that your team was short-staffed, and the store was very busy, which I fully sympathize with.
However, the situation was made worse by a technical issue with the ordering machine, which did not print our order number / showing the order number on the screen. After waiting for 10 minutes, I simply wanted to ask about my order number. When I approached an employee named Roger, he looked at me and abruptly shouted for me to move. Despite my attempt to explain that I was only seeking clarification, he quickly dismissed me, stating that he didn’t have our order.
After raising a complaint, he asked another staff member at the cash register to assist us. Fortunately, she was very helpful and handled the situation with a pleasant attitude. It turned out they had our order, but it wasn’t showing up on the screen and wasn’t ready for some reason.
I don’t mind waiting, and I fully appreciate how hard your team was working under difficult circumstances. However, I believe there’s room for improvement both in addressing technical issues and in how unhappy customers are treated. Better communication and handling of these situations can go a long way in ensuring a more positive experience for everyone. Also, I would say Roger, who seems to be a manager needs to improve. His communication skill was aggressive and he was not helpful.
Thank you for your attention to...
