New Lasalle Restaurant Pizzeria — Restaurant in Montreal

Nouveau LaSalle became my "go to" pizzeria since Mercier Pizzeria closed (had the best all dress pizza with meat sauve on top). When on Shevencko, would often see the owners and the regular cooks behind the counter. Since moving on Thierry, they would sometimes forget to add the ordered meat sauce but since the pizza was great and staff welcoming, I would not make a stink about it. The last straw came on August 28 when I got home (live 30 minutes from LaSalle) only not to have the meat sauce on the pizza. Called and spoke to Karen who assured me that she would let the new owners know about a credit for my next visit (lg all dress with meat sauce on top). When I decided to order the same all dress with meat sauce with my credit on Sept 6, I could see that the message from Karen had not been passed on or chose not to respect the credit commitment. Upon arriving, I asked for my pizza: this is where it went downhill. My pizza was not even on the order board; my credit no where to be found; and then told I would have to pay for the meat sauce that I paid but never got on my last visit! If this is how the new ownership is going to treat loyal customers, my business will go elsewhere. TOTALLY...

Will rate this as the best steak & cheese sub on pizza dough. I have been around many old school restaurants in Montréal and I can say that New lasalle has consistently hit the mark. What Mark? The " I am content and even though a 14" is too, I need to order that amount to feel happy". This is happy food and I have had many if not every type of steak sub and even the legendary Philly steak from Philadelphia and without a doubt this is the best that hits the spot.

For context. I order always the same thing. : steak and cheese 14" on pizza dough-extra cheese. Dressing on the side. No lettuce and no tomatoes. ( side note, this is perfect without extra cheese but I'm a cheese guy- this extra is +4$).

With inflation and cost of food going up, this used to cost me 19$.... this is costing me now... 27$.

They recently started selling Chester's Fried Chicken a few weeks ago. The first time I ordered it was out of this world, the pieces were huge, the meat was tender and delicious, the coating was textured and tasty, and the value couldn't be beat. Since then it's been downhill the last three times I ordered, with the pieces dried out from sitting for who knows how long in the food warmer, as well as a poor variety of pieces e.g. 5 drumsticks in a 9 piece order. On two occasions the pieces had a mildly burnt odor. Today I ordered 9 pieces and the price had jumped from 20.95 to 32.95 due to a "mis-print" of the previous price in their menu. Okay, $20.95 for 9 pieces is in fact under-priced by today's standards, but no other Chester's Chicken in Canada charges $32.95 for 9 pieces of chicken; you can get 9 pieces of Chester's chicken in other Canadian cities for $24.99, or even as low as $23.99. Today I ordered 9 pieces and requested a variety of pieces, only to get 5 drumsticks AGAIN for the second time, with most of them being small and DRIED OUT.
