Palais Istanbul Kebab — Restaurant in Montreal

When I first came in the restaurant, I got welcomed 🙋‍♀️warmly by a really nice lady. We were able to choose our table. Music all over the place, good atmosphere💃, beautiful interior, comfortable chairs, big tables. Smells nice too. When we sat, first things first, the lady 🤵‍♀️gave us the menu, gave us some time to discuss. Very good and full menu, had many options. She came to check on us, we made our command. We waited not even 5 minutes that some of our sauces got served🧑‍🍳. Progressively, the soup, beverages and rest of the sauces came. While we ate progressively, our food came. The food was DELICIOUS.💖 the chiken🐔 and beef 🐂were AMAZING, well cooked, well presented, hot, the spices were AMAZINGLY AGENCED TOGETHER.🥣 Felt like paradise was in my mouth at each bite. The bread tasted very good. We had lots of beverage choices. Salad was fresh and very tasty. Everything was so good, we kept eating even when full from how good everything tasted.👄 If you're searching for food that tastes good, has a big menu, variety of sauces, amazing welcome, music, delicious meals, good service and a perfect place to mee up with friends and family, don't walk, RUN🏃‍♀️ to this restaurant. (Little plus, they have bathrooms, makes it 100% better) I will keep saying it, this restaurant deserves to be recognized. ☝️ If I could give 10 stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE I was fooled by those fake 5 star reviews All the reviews were put in the same month by family and friends I guess Very low quality Meat was absolutely disgusting Those people trying to open a restaurant with minimal to no skills I have cramps and diarrhea since yesterday Doner Meat was stale and dry like a rock Horrible smell and seasoning tasted like rotten onions Cut into big thick chunks Those people have never eaten doner in their lives. It's a big shame I asked for extra butter on it... just to find out they pour vegetable oil (not Ghee or butter) I was so pissed after every single bite We asked for ribs to be safe cause their meat was shady Here come the surprise They brought a different smelly piece of meat and tried to cut it as the ribs 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ So disrespectful of them to think that people won't figure out Or they simply don't care I left a picture of the bones. this clearly was neck or back Meat (with spinal cord ) And to top this beautiful experience, they had to pick the worse folk music 🎶 and set it on highest volume in their tiny tiney place We asked them just to lower it They gave us a 5 min break to go back to the horrible tasteless music...

Delicious Turkish cuisine and a warm family-run atmosphere

Our family visited Palais Istanbul Kebab recently, following a recommendation from our future son-in-law, who is of Turkish descent. He confidently claimed this to be the most authentic Turkish cuisine he’s had in the greater Montreal area—and judging by our experience, it’s easy to see why.

While I can’t personally speak to the authenticity, he ordered our meals in Turkish, directly engaging with the family-owned restauranteurs, which added a lovely personal touch. The meal itself was excellent—a generous variety of grilled meats and traditional Turkish sides made for a fantastic introduction to the cuisine.

The only miss for me was the Ayran, a salty Turkish yogurt drink—not quite to my taste, but everything else was really good. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service friendly, and the food memorable.
