DO NOT GO HERE. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS, BUT GOOGLE GIVES PARTICIPATION AWARDS.
I decided to give this place another try after our first time going here 8 years ago. Horrible decision. I ordered #37 and #14... My #14 was missing meat... Paid so much for nothing. I calledultiple times and the line is busy. People don't go here, terrible terrible place. So basically they charged me full price, but not giving ask the order. NO MEAT. I didn't order vegetarian. Not giving this place another chance.
Food was good, but service is terrible. First time I went with my husband, brother and parents, the service was very slow... For us, everyone else got their orders taken before us although we were there first. We thought nothing of it. The second time we got the exact service. We ordered our meal, it took a while, after that my mom ordered a few desserts, one for my 3 yo. He finished his dessert, but we never got to see the other desserts. My brother went to ask them for it after 20 minutes of wait, the lady told him that she's very busy and that he should wait. So we waited another 15 minutes and they never came. My mom was upset and decided that we should just leave. She asked, my mom said they took too long with our desserts and the lady was yelling at my mom "I'm busy I'm busy". She starts punching our order I didn't see anything out of place, we paid and we left. Now I've just checked our bill and I noticed that they charged us one of the desserts that never came as a part of a combo meal... Wow... Stealing isn't appreciated....

Voir photo de la date de ma facture : 18avril'25, lors de ma première et dernière visite. Oufffff !! Faites gaffe !! The worst Pho soup I've ever had in Montreal. A total waste of ingredients and money ! When I arrived there was only one table with clients. Mine was the second one.
I always, always, make it my habit to read reviews, before going to a restaurant. Always.
Customers are the perfect thermometer for whether or not we'll give them our money.
But I wanted to give Pho 88 a try, and I regretted not following the suggestions of dissatisfied customers.
But it won't happen again. No way!
The broth was tasteless, there were no spice or seasoning traces ! Nothing. No flavor, like water and the beef, elastic and difficult to chew.
I mentioned this to the waitresses and tried to speak to the chef, but the two ladies in the kitchen didn't speak English or French, despite my attempts to explain the situation.
The price of that waste was over $18, and I couldn't finish it. More than half remained on the plate, and I left.
And reading the other customer reviews, the restaurant's quality is going from bad to worse. A real shame !
No, I definitely don't recommend Restaurant Pho 88.
Instead, go to Boulevard Cote des Neiges. You'll find excellent places there, guaranteed. You have some spots in my previous reviews.

Read moreBahn mi sandwich - disappointing - these usually make a great lunch on the run.
The good: The bread was ok, chewy, but not stellar. What makes a good Bahn mi however is the filling, which was at best, minimal.
The bad: Instead of the usual Vietnamese picked veg (radish and carrots) Pho 88 uses coleslaw, with some shredded cabbage, carrot, and lots of mayo - no thank you. (Really, like the cheap coleslaw you can buy at the supermarket in a plastic tub). The chicken was almost spongy and very salty - not pleasant. I had asked for extra coriander, and was told 'no problem', but literally got ONE sprig. I threw away one half of the bun, and moved the sparse filling to just the top side, and folded it over into a mini bahn mi - otherwise just had mouthfuls of bread only.
The service was also minimal - served by a young man who was generally polite, but didnt bother even looking me in the face once.. He was the one who made my sandwich and apparently did not care about the quality of it. I know its still hard, but really, a bit of effort in both food prep, and service is still necessary for...
