Pizzeria Imperium — Restaurant in Montreal

I used to love coming to imperium ( back when it was Motta) and I haven’t been in 2-3 years - I decided to go for lunch one day impromptu and the service I received was SHOCKING. I waited 20 minutes to get served as the two women at the counter didn’t even acknowledge my presence and they kept serving people who had arrived after me. When they finally took my order it took 10 minutes for them to reheat my eggplant Parmesan in the microwave, and halfway through eating my lasagna I realized the middle of it was completely cold still. I went to the counter so they could reheat it and went back to my seat - after 6 minutes I still didn’t receive my food back so I went up to the counter and saw the dish just laying on the counter before the server noticed I was there and then quickly scrambled to bring the dish to my seat.

Overall just a bad experience and Motta isn’t what it used to be, food isn’t nearly as good as it was and the people working there shouldn’t be in customer service . I’m usually a patient person but I was really...

They MICROWAVE, Veal +Pasta ++……seriously. If owner response indicates this is OK, then we all know it is not a place to go eat. Funny enough several posts about Microwave and one of the responses form the owner “you can request additional cooking of your choice and to your taste without problem!” Funny enough when I requested for my food be put in the oven the lady told me it will take time. I’m OK with that, I told her. Came to get some take out for Sunday family lunch. Had a delicious leg of lamb with potatoes and grilled vegetables. The lamb was flavourful, fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce was just right. Others had arancini, sausages, and spezzatino dì pollo (tasty pieces of pan cooked chicken breast). Everything was fantastic! For desert we had canoli.
