Sushi Nanami — Restaurant in Montreal

I ordered for pickup and the menu they post online is incorrect - on a $60 order, they charged me $75 and acknowledged they needed to update the menu. They didn't feel the need to honor the price. I didn't want to haggle with them at that specific moment. On top of that, I twice asked for a bag to wrap my order up, the person at the cash asked me if I really needed one...turns out I did as I dropped my order on the floor with the flimsy containers. They didn't provide or even offer chopsticks, napkins, so I was glad to eat whatever sushi I had left over with my fork.

Just a bad experience overall. Sushi was generally above average, but the customer service portion needs significant work. Hopefully they see this and will improve! Willing to give them a shot again if I hear...

My family stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a sushi place and happened to see them as we parked. We’re so happy we did! Chef Nam was so welcoming and truly goes above and beyond for everyone that walks into his shop - including his staff.

We enjoyed the Deluxe for 2 ppl and everything was delicious. He also had some toro available so we ordered that as nigiri which was also great! Enjoyed everything so much we ordered some bubble tea to go, which we also loved.

Overall we were so happy we found this place. The locals seem to love it too as they’re constantly busy. The space is a bit small, but it was perfect for my family (me, my husband and our baby).

I don't know why people rate this place so highly. It is by far one of the most disappointing.

I ordered take-out for a 60 piece, deluxe combo at 79$+tx. It ended up being 87.95$+tx because no where do they tell you the prices are subject to change. Not on the website, by the staff or at the restaurant.

One hour later, I got: VERY old, cold rice. Unseasoned. Is this long grain?? thin slices of fish thinly sliced and small rolls

I mean, the standards in Montreal aren't very high in the first place, but when you pay 100$ for one takeout meal, you expect AT LEAST fresh food.
