We actually wanted to eat at the Indian restaurant next door but it was closed so we decide to try this place out. First and last time.

The music was way too loud, couldn't even hear what the cashier was saying. We specifically asked for sauce on the side many times for both orders and the cashier didn't even enter that request. It was not a complicated order. Just sauce on the side.

And then we got our order and there was clearly sauce inside. The gentleman was kind to offer to redo the order but we were pressed for time and couldn't wait another 10-15 mins.

We can clearly see there is way too much sauce and upon mixing, everything was just drowning in sauce. It was the only thing you could taste. And there were barely any vegetables and proteins, just rice and sauce. There was a piece of avocado and you can clearly see it was rotten, with a black chunk on it.

We've tried Pokebowls from a dozen of different restaurants, this is by far the worst. We couldn't finish our meal bc of how much sauce there was. There goes 40$ in the garbage. And the portion was also quite small for the price you pay. Not...

If you haven’t checked out Poke Monster in NDG yet, you’re seriously missing out!

This gem of a spot brings such a beautiful touch to our neighborhood—not only is the food incredible, but the entire experience is top-notch. The staff is always super friendly, professional, and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about the service they provide and the quality of every bowl they serve.

The poke is fresh, flavorful, and customizable to your taste—hands down some of the best in the city. And as if that wasn’t enough, Olivia’s Chicken shares the same space and offers the most tender, perfectly seasoned chicken you’ll ever try. 🐔🔥

Huge shoutout to the owner, who is truly one of the kindest people you’ll meet—always greeting customers with a smile and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Whether you’re craving something healthy, delicious, or just looking to support a great local business, Poke Monster (and Olivia’s Chicken) is the move. Drop by—you...

Ordered off of Uber Eats, so of course, there is some consideration for thr travel time, in terms of food quality. The 2 spring rolls were a lovely freebie. Pretty good, though lost a bit of crunch in delivery, though hardly the fault of the reso. The Salmon tartar was the start of the dish. Delicious. Unfortunately the avocado had started a brown a bit and the way they pack it, caused it to fall apart. Rice crackers were great, and this was very close to being a superb dish. Shrimpy Dynamite was nice...of course, just srracha mayo and black sesame seeds, so pretty simple, but well executed. Chicken dynamite was simply but the pieces of chiken were mostly dry. The well cooked bites were great, but they were in a minority.

Would I give them a second try? Not a complete no, but more likely a...

We were swimming nearby at the local pool, taking a gorgeous late summer dusk when we happened upon this place. I am historically not the biggest Poke fan, but I was really surprised at the level of quality as well as creativity with the dishes. To put it straight: they have Tempura and Fried Chicken Poke blends that were both savory and sweet, with a balance in flavors that just tasted like summer. I mean, who doesn't like fried chicken? And putting it into Poke? Genius. We even had some time to chat it up with the Manager and staff, who were more than eager to show us the varieties we could order for future meals (cause we are definitely coming back).
