I am coming from vancouver and this was first and definitely last experience here in Montreal! Awful service and servers. We were a group of six. Some of us wanted to order one meal for two, but the server said that it is not possible! At the end she accepted by the owner approval(!) but with a very bad attitude. They cannot dictate how many food we should order!!! I am sorry to see this much unprofessional and rude behavior at the same time. I did not like the way that they behaved differently with different customers with different nationality, it was definitely a racist behavior! Not a cheap food in a cheap atmosphere. To be fair, food was okay and fresh. We ordered koobide kabab. It was coming with either soup or salad and tea. Salad was so simple, there was two large (not fresh) pieces of cucumber and tomato plus a bunch of lettuce which was plated like a food court salad (not like a restaurant to be honest). My husband had soup, it was good (nothing special). Tea was not hot. The restaurant was not busy and the server asked just one of us to see if we want tea. We were different family in one group, she had to ask us individually. After reminding her about the tea, she said she asked us!!! But she did not ask me and my husband. When she brought the tea, she put it in front of us and left. All servers need to learn how to behave with customers with canadian standard! I asked how old is the restaurant, they said 21 year! They stuck in the past!! They need to learn how to keep up with the standards and learn how to behave! The restaurant was really old, even dishes and glasses. I dont mind being old, but at least I expect it to be clean. All the dishes, plates, glasses were all scratches. When she was cleaning the table, she dropped utensils on the table!!!!! She should have put utensils on the table, not to drop! Servers was talking loudly. We had reservation. When we entered, the restaurant was empty (6pm) but they refused to accept us because they had reservation for 7:45!! When we insist, they accepted but we need to be fast! Very impolite! I guess the lady in the cashier who refused at the beginning was the owner. I will...

Yesterday was not my first trip to Quartier Perse. I go there because the decoration is descent but since last night it would not happen again. The hostess (maybe owner?) greeted us. When taking orders, we ordered 3 foods (range 25-35$) and a mix of 3 entrees for a table. She told us that you are not allowed to share a plate and it is written on the menu( it is not) . She said it on a such a condescending manner that I was ready to leave but since I did not want to make a scene i just accepted it. Her bad behaviour ruined our special night with my family. Also I think she has something against iranians because i kept hearing her telling her employees that only iranians do this and that.

Food: the starter soup is an aberage tasteless heavy soup. The ground beef kebab might tatse ok to canadians but it lacks any original taste and has a slight bad after taste. The rice is greasy and made with a tasteless basmati rice. Baghali polow costs 35$ for a plate that should cost nothing more than 12$. Very average meat and very average rice.

Overall not recommended at all especially for iranians. I recommend them to change their management since it has a potential to be a nice classy place with a smarter...

Unfortunately another horrible experience in this place. The entrance is shameful and the restaurant ceiling is so low you suffocate. But the real problem was not these. We had a reservation for 9 people. We had invited friends for my wife’s birthday party. The table beside was so loud from our arrival to our departure 2 hrs and 10 minutes after. We had to complained to them and to the management super nicely and politely. But no success. We decided to leave, got up and went to the reception and told the management. Some old lady angrily stopped us, locked the door, confronted super rudely and asked the staff to call 911. She said that our food was ready and she had to give it away. But we had waited for 2 hours and 10 minutes, while all stressed by the noisy next table!! Then some man came from the kitchen. I thought he came to cool down the situation but no, he started to be as rude. We just couldn’t believe their attitude and behavior. All we said was that we could not stand the noise, we had been waiting over 2 hours for the food and we decided to leave because we couldn’t take it anymore. Imagine, this was my wife’s birthday! Never ever again...

The restaurant is cozy but not that spacious. Tables are placed near each other. We could easily hear other tables’ conversations and vice versa. The waitresses were nice and attentive but the service generally was slow. My friends took kebab platter. For them the meat was ok but not that quality. I took lamb platter with dried berries. The lamb was tender and good but not wow. The tomato sauce was not matching the whole flavours for me. The saffron rice was good. The baklava was nice and the Persian ice cream was good and different from other ice creams as it has rose water and saffron inside served with thin biscuits so you can eat it as a sandwich. The tea they have is nice as it has cardamom. You pay up to 41$ including the tips (the total may vary according to your order) Also, it is bring your own wine restaurant. All in all the experience was good and the food was fine.

I went to Quartier-Perse on a weekday for dinner. Positive: friendly staff taking the time to get feedback on their service, very nice ambiance and rather spacious dining area, good and quick service, good salad and delicious sauce. Negative: I should admit that the kebabs tasted way below my expectation. I ordered well-done Chenjeb while it was so juicy and as soon as I cut into the meat the juice came out and turned my rice red. The Koubideh did not taste authentic and my impression was the meat had been marinated and mixed with sumac since it tasted too lemony. Overall, I believe that I have tasted much better Iranian food so far in Montreal. Considering the quality and the taste, I found the food a little overpriced.

Very okay food but pricy We went there as a family of for to this restaurant at Sunday afternoon which the restaurant was not busy. The waitresses were welcoming. The service was quite slow and sometimes unprofessional so that you could hear them speak loudly which I have never experienced in any other restaurant in Montreal The meals were just ok the portion of rice was generous but the kebabs were not easy to cut though. The meat was most likely beef which is usually lamb in Persian kebabs. On top of that the price ce was high compared to this quality of meal I would tell you can find much better Persian restaurant with better food and price as well.
