I don’t know where to start with my terrible experience. I have seen this place a few times while driving and decided to stop to try it. What a mistake. The minute u walk in ur struck by a bad smell of a mix of Indian curry spices and urine and dirty mop smell. The service is these 2 young girls who don’t look at u or even acknowledge u until ur standing around for a few long minutes. Finally they take ur order without much hospitality. I placed my order and was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. As I was waiting I had to step outside a few times cuz the smell was overwhelming. I came back inside and headed to the washroom and as I got to the hallway the odor of urine and poop got stronger and there was a huge puddle on the floor I opened the washroom door and seen a pool of water I guess the toilets had overflowed. It was too late my order was already placed or I swear I would have left. I noticed the girls touched everything without gloves and a man came out of the kitchen with a purple bandana and earrings and an eyebrow piercing and unloaded food in to there buffet. From what I know people in the food industry should where gloves and should have no jewelry it is a safety hazard. I finally got my food and was offered the option to pay cash or card and if I payed cash then there would be no taxes. I left with my food and I was so incredibly disappointed. The saag was not saag and was over salted. The makki roti is not anything like I’ve had before in a bad way. My Chana samosa was just not right in anyway the tastes and texture and look was off completely. My parathas were soggy and tasted very wired to the point that I am still nauseous 🤢 even while writing this review. The yogurt I was given was stale and the mango lassi was not fresh. I am truly disappointed and will never be returning and honestly don’t recommend this place to anyone. At the end I took one bite of everything to try it and had to throw it...
Read moreI have driven passed Ram restaurant almost every day and was always curious what kind of food they had to offer. Today was the day I went in, and I am so happy I did!
I was greeted by Pooja, an awesome member of the Ram restaurant who was very patient with me and explaining all the different types of sweet dishes they offer as well as the savory lunch/dinner dishes they have to offer.
After about 10 mins I decided what I wanted and Pooja was so helpful giving me suggestions and recommendations. The food was delicious, I had the garlic Naan with a curry paneer. I should mention that all lunch/dinner options are vegetarian but it's absolutely delicious and you don't taste like your missing out on anything.
When you walk in you have the counter right there and behind you very comfortable white marble tables and super comfortable padded bucket seats and booth options. Very nice indeed!
Thanks for being so open to sharing your culture with me, can't...
Read moreThis was our first time dining at Ram sweets and it will be the last as well. We ordered two plates of Tikki chaat, The moment i took the first bite , i found that Both the tikki and the chickpeas were completely cold. I asked the girl who was serving us to respectfully replace both our tikki plates as they tasted cold and stale. There was no crunch in the tikkis. After a few minutes, the girl came back with the SAME tikki, reheated in a microwave and served in new plates. I was flabbergasted at this. The final nail in the coffin was when the girl at the counter told me ” you could have told us that you wanted us to replace your meal”, i mean, would you want to eat a microwaved tikki chaat ? If this is what the standard of service at Ram sweets is, I would not want to visit them again. The first picture is what we were served first and The second is what came back after our request to get a...
