This was our first time here although my companion & I have eaten at Rayan on Belanger so we were familiar with the cuisine (their Fish & Chips are very good).
I discovered this Rayan was a 15:minute walk from our residence here in St-Leonard so we decided to go there for lunch today.
Anyway, we we expected to receive the same quality of food but also decided to try something different.
So I ordered 6 Scallops with Roasted Potatoes & my lady ordered Fried Calamari (Squid) & a garden salad.
Please note that all seafood is charged by the weight but the prices were not listed on the board and I was negligent in not asking.
As a result, I was in for a big shock when I got the bill at the end of our meal.
I had anticipated it would be around $40 but instead it totalled a "whopping" $60.38 (tax included).
The six scallops were very tasty costing $25.49 before tax (that's almost $5 per scallop - definitely overpriced)
The calamari were rubbery and not crispy as expected and costed $13.04 before tax.
The roasted potatoes & garden salad were more reasonably priced at $6.99 each and were each plentiful.
However the quality was not up to the same standard as we had experienced at the Rayan on Belanger which we had not been back to for a couple of years.
In fact we had planned on going there for lunch a couple of weeks ago since it is located directly across the street from the hair salon which we patronize.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, it was only offering takeout service (no indoor dining) which was a big disappointment.
And coming to this Rayan on Langelier has proven to be a big letdown as well.
BTW, I usually take photos of the food whenever we eat out but this time I forgot -...

Read moreworst experience I had at a restaurent. A lack of respect, lack of courtesy... We went there for a family dinner and we decided to leave that place after 15 minutes. The waiter was verry rude with one of us and when we replied asking for a minimum of respect the waiter just enhanced his bad attitude with disrespectfull answers. I beleive that when we choose to eat at your restaurent the least thing you can do is being welcoming. Its not charity ,we are paying. You cannot treat a client with a disrespectful manner and expect a tip at the end. Keep in mind that when we come to you restaurent your main job is to serve your clients. You can be sure that I will not go back there and I will not reccomend anyone who has a minimum of self...
