Absolutely fantastic meal at this Vietnamese gem! I ordered the grilled pork with rice and spring rolls, and both dishes were outstanding. The grilled pork was perfectly caramelized with those authentic Vietnamese flavors - that ideal balance of sweet, savory, and smoky char that's so hard to get right. It came with an incredibly fresh salad and fluffy jasmine rice that soaked up all those delicious juices.
The spring rolls were exceptional - crispy, golden perfection served piping hot with an absolutely delicious dipping sauce that had just the right amount of tang and depth. You can tell they're made fresh to order.
Everything was beautifully presented on sleek black plates that really made the colors pop. The portion sizes were incredibly generous for the price - you definitely get your money's worth here. The pork was so tender and flavorful, with that perfect caramelized exterior that melted in your mouth. The spring rolls had an amazing crunch without being greasy at all.
Service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between casual and welcoming. Even though I didn't try their pho this time, the exceptional quality and authentic flavors of everything I had tells me this place is the real deal. You can taste the care and authenticity in every bite.
This is exactly what Vietnamese comfort food should be - fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Can't wait to come back and work my way through their entire menu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic...
Read morewas strolling around Verdun with no particular plan, just letting my instincts guide me… and wow, what a great decision it was to walk into I Am Pho! From the very first moment, the place gives off a warm and welcoming vibe — clean, cozy, and filled with that delicious aroma that instantly makes you hungry and curious to try everything.
We ordered a few dishes, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best Vietnamese food experiences we’ve had in Montreal. The flavors were perfectly balanced — tasty, authentic, and clearly prepared with care. The portions are generous (you definitely won’t leave hungry!), and the prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity they offer.
My husband ordered the beef pho, and I have to mention that it was the first time he ever finished an entire bowl — and that’s saying something, since he almost never eats meat! I tried a few bites too, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, great texture, and a comforting broth that felt homemade.
Without a doubt, I Am Pho just gained a couple of loyal new customers. When food is made with passion and respect for the craft, you can taste it in every bite. This place is a hidden gem in Verdun that deserves all the praise it can get.
👉 Highly recommended for both locals and anyone just passing through the neighborhood. Don’t miss it —...

Highlights
Atmosphere: Bright murals bring personality; the rest is clean and comfortable.
Dishes worth seeking out:
#8 Classic Phở Tái: clear, aromatic broth with fresh herbs and tender beef — textbook “classic.”
#6 Bò Lụi Saté: smoky beef skewers plus a rich peanut-chili sauce; addictive.
Deep-fried spring roll (rice-paper twist): crackly “rice-chip” exterior, savoury beef filling — one of the best I’ve had.
House chili oil: a single spoonful delivers a throat-tingling hit. Unforgettable.
Drinks:
#24 Chè Ba Màu: colourful, refreshing, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet.
#25 Nước Chanh Vằn (classic lemonade): tasty but a touch sweet for me; most will love it. Got this one gratis on opening day — thank you!
Room for improvement:
Courses arrived out of order (phở before the appetizer).
Verdict:
Friendly service, bold flavours, and that knockout chili oil make I Am Phở a terrific new addition to Wellington Street. I’ll be back for a large bowl, another spring roll, and a round of #24. Welcome to the...
