Restaurant looks ghetto as heck. Does not look like the pictures on google anymore. Service could be improved. When asked if we wanted drinks or water, we chose water. The waitress brought us water bottles. Onky when did we ask if they were free that the waitress clarified that it was 2$ per bottle. That's when we had to ask for "free" water for them to go get us glasses of water with ice.

The menu is mainly there to give us the dish names, because in the description, all it says is something vague like "nigerian spices, flavors will blow your mind away". However we weren't familiar with the spices so we had no idea what to expect.

Fufu egusi: fufu is super nice, love the texture. The egusi is very fishy, has fish flakes in them, but other than that not particularly seasonned. I expected better since on the menu  it said it would "blow us away". A water bassin was given to us so that we could wash our hands anytime during our meals while eating the fufu.

Jerk chicken: basic jerk chicken, but I've had better. The meat is juicy though. The ruce was very good, not too dry and has a good kick! The salad portion is small, tastes fine. The fried plaintains were good!

Goat meat: chewy as heck, not much flavor.

Service is not the most transparent, food was okay. There's a sign that says they won the 2021 Best Carribean food. I don't know if it's real. It was worth a try. Also the price on the website is not the same as on the menu (pricier...

I will start off by saying the jerk chicken was amazing and the portions of food/ meats are great. You can also tell the food is made fresh.

However there’s a few things I didn’t like too much about this place. Firstly the wait time until we got our food was a little over 45minutes after ordering. (I understand it takes time but a warning would have been appreciated)

Besides the long wait times, the service was very kind welcoming and the atmosphere at the restaurant was nice.

we had the jerk chicken and the egusi fufu. This fufu I have never had before and it’s possible that’s how it is meant to taste but the flavours were really not in my opinion.

The main reason for this 3/5 sore is the wait time with no warning and the egusi fufu. Next time I will try ogbono because I’ve heard...

The service is a way too slow and unreliable, plus they seem to be lacking a lot of items from the menu at the moment. Waited over an hour and a half to even get my food (it came out cold) and we didn't even get water for 50 minutes.

I would understand if the restaurant was super busy, but there was just one other table and they were about 5 people... the staff preferred to hang out and have a drink while making clients wait.

I asked the waitress how long it would take she said five more minutes and ignored us for half an hour after that.

Definitely not worth trying, the jerk chicken was dry and had barely any meat on the bones. The rice tasted like it was cooked over a week ago and left out.

But it would be such a great place if they were able to offer better service to...

This small African restaurant offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, making you feel right at home. The food is authentic and flavorful, with a special emphasis on their stews and bean dishes, which are perfectly spiced to bring out the rich, vibrant flavors of African cuisine. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are more than happy to answer any questions and offer great recommendations. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy delicious, authentic African dishes and experience a touch of exotic flair. Highly recommended!

I'm just gonna be honest. Worst place ever, food took over 45 minutes to get ready and the salad was missing. It should be illegal to call this jerk chicken, just look at it. Barely any seasonings as well. Jollof rice was dry and not seasoned. Only good thing was plantain. Music crazy loud. The good reviews are suprising after this experience, because it doesn't make sense. I'm going to guess that this was just done on purpose and gave us bad food on purpose.
