Disappointed After High Expectations
I had high expectations for this Bangladeshi restaurant in Montreal after hearing good things and seeing positive reviews, especially from the Bangladeshi community. Unfortunately, it seems like as the restaurant has become more popular, the quality of the food has declined.
I ordered 2 beef tehari, but it was overwhelmingly spicy and contained over 10 pieces of dried prunes in a single plate, which was excessive. On a previous visit, I had tried the roast and found it excellent, but this time the two pieces I ordered smelled more like tandoori smoked legs than authentic roast. The test was like old.
The beef kabab was decent but not something I would recommend. Honestly, the only thing that met expectations was the Canada Dry.
Overall, my expectations were not met. It’s disappointing to see a place let their food quality slip after achieving some success. I still believe this restaurant has...
Read moreI ordered roast pulao, kachchi and tehari. Ordered around 6.45pm and went there to pick up at 8pm. Food was not ready. The lady at the cash said almost ready give me 10 mins. That 10 mins ended up being 45 mins. Long story short, they didn't prepare anything despite ordering an hour before. I also asked them to put the roast and pulao separately which they didn't do. They do not have any experience running a restaurant as they were giving out packs to someone which were prepared for someone else. Even they gave away kachchi to someone else which was packed for me. They had plastic chairs and tables with different color table clothes. Even the name on google has not been changed. It still says Marche Moon Star. It's sad to see this type of mismanagement. At least the food was tasty. Overall experience and service could be improved...

If you’re looking for a place that excels in classic flavors, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The chicken roast is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, with tender meat that practically melts in your mouth. The spices strike a beautiful balance—not too overpowering but just enough to make you crave more.
Their polau rice is equally impressive. Fragrant, fluffy, and infused with delicate spices, it pairs wonderfully with the chicken roast, creating a comforting and satisfying meal.
The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for family dining or casual get-togethers. The service is prompt, and the staff is attentive. Whether you’re a fan of traditional dishes or trying them for the first time, this restaurant will not disappoint. Highly recommended for...
