Shushu Bar À Poké + Sushi Queen Mary — Restaurant in Montreal

People who rate this any higher than a 1 have no clue as to what they are eating:

I walked in ordering a grilled eel poke bowl based of the fa t that I love grilled eel and that the menu's picture made it a delightful choice. One should note that there is no list of ingredients available when choosing anything, letting me think that regardless of the picture, everything turns out to be the e act same, minus the topping or sauce.

I was told to wait about ten minutes. I stood there, and when the 10 mins were about done, I witness a scramble of 3 individuals assembling over a to go bowl, while another pulls a plate out of the microwave with the eel on it.

The bowl was assembled, dressed and packed in under a minute and basically sure as hell does not look like the picture I was sold, does not taste of anything but sweet sauce and mayo and sure as hell is not worth the money and tip I left for it.

No care or thought was put into any element of the process of assembling it, nor does it have any of the qualities a Poké bowl should have: fresh, zingy and full of flavor.

For those reading this, please compare the pictures below to the beautiful, organized and delicious looking ones in their menu and you will understand.

Pinch me, have I gone to heaven? It sure feels like it when I dine at this wonderful restaurant. It’s the cleanest restaurant in the city. You could eat off the floor! I also love the decor and ambience. It is so charming and classy! Feels like Sinatra could be at the table besides me! I love my friend Leo the server and all the other wait staff. What amazing service always! Last but not least the crown jewel.. their poke bowl.. wow!! It is absolutely, positively the best in the city! I travel extensively for both business and pleasure, and have tasted poke bowls in hot cities around the globe, and Shushu is number one!! Love this restaurant. Best poke bowls around by a large margin. More people should know about it. I have eaten here multiple times and I intend to continue going through. Everything I have ordered over the dozens of times I have been there has been high quality. Gyoza is chicken which I thought was odd but it was so good I order it nearly every time now. Would recommend the specials as well some times the chef will just put some on the menu for a limited time and they are always good.

The atmosphere is top tier. You can see the pictures of the venue on Google. It's a well put together place.
