I found the menu at this place to be quite limited. They had pizzas about $12 for a tomato pizza. And the prices for pizzas went up from there. Are pizzas arrived without being cut first and we found it very very difficult to cut the pizza the crust is quite thick. Then they had some weird sounding salads that were also quite expensive even more expensive than some of the pizzas. Overall the service was quite poor unfortunately. What we especially had trouble with was getting our bill. We try to signal the waitress several times. But we just couldn't get her attention finally we had to stand up and that's when we got her attention. And then she gave us our bill. But then she just walked away and it took us another 10-15 minutes to pay. We were there at a very slow time. It was Saturday at about 4:45 or so. So we don't see any reason why the service should have been so slow. So overall because of the limited menu and the so-so service I would not really recommend this place. But I'm glad I tried it because I walk by this restaurant to go home and I was always curious...

I have brought my daughter to this place several times and she loves it. Really great service and atmosphere. The highlight to the pizza experience at Stella is their homemade tomato sauce which is quite lovely. I was however disappointed by my recent visit. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza which among other ingredients has rapini on it. I would like to point out that I am a rapini lover and I always order the pizza with rapini on it when it is offered on the menu. When the pizza arrived at the table the rapini looked flat, limp and over cooked and tasted the same. My heart was shattered, I would have sent it back had I not been with my daughter. When I order a rapini pizza I expect the color and the taste of the rapini to rip the clothes off my back. This rapini pizza just made me want to curl up on the floor and weep away my sorrows. I was violently disappointed. I will definitely go back to Stella at some point but I will never order that Mediterranean...

I have been to Stella previously but my last visit was very unfortunate and unpleasant. Went there with a friend for a quick bite. Ordered our pizzas. As soon as mine arrived first I spotted a fly stuck in cheese. I removed it but then I saw two-three more. I called the waitress. She took it to the kitchen and come back and said we removed them!!! My friend and I were in shock! As soon as she left I found another one, as obviously they did not remove them all! When they saw I was not eating, she came and took my plate and went to kitchen again and came back saying that they will make another one for me. They made a new pizza for me but it was very unpleasant that they tried to make me eat a pizza full of flies! I am not going back and i hope they would experience a similar thing so they would understand...

Nice place, pizza very good. The cocktails ne and friend had were ok but not wow. 1$ oysters were good. We had ordered an appetizer and had time to eat the whole pizza and plate taken away before the waitress came back and we told her we never received the appetizer. The waitress was kind and was able to take it off the bill, but we had wanted to try it nonetheless. The other waitress who seemed like maybe the manager seemed very stressed the whole time. Quite a loud bustling place, hard to hear my friend talk. Not sure if after this experience I would go back. We had a reservation and the restaurant seemed fully packed.

I had their Laurier pizza without cheese (vegan). The pizza itself tastes great, it’s crunchy and flavourful. However when you pick it apart, I realized that a lot of the flavour comes from the crust and the vegetables, leaving the sauce behind. In fact, I couldn’t taste the sauce at all and neither could my roommate. Bizarre. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and guessing they didn’t want to add too much sauce due to the topping. The pizza is also very salty which I don’t mind but could be a turn off for some. WARNING: the pizza crust is not very typical of a wood oven pizza but I still think it’s great!

For me the pizza is like a elegant drunk pizza. It is like a tipsy pizza. That pizza you get that is greasy, and filling. Except her the slices are thinner, still greasy, the crust is crispy from meal, the cheese and sauce are lighter than a drink pizza, and the flavor is still there. Good price as well at CAD$16 per pizza but you'll definitely need two for two people... so maybe the value is off a bit. Also the to go box is ridiculously more thick than the pizza itself. Like so much waste from just the box to hold the thin pizza. Overall, good experience and the pizza is good, just not top for me.
