Thai Express Restaurant Saint Laurent — Restaurant in Montreal

Had the worst experience at this place.. on Mon. Jan 30 I stopped by and ordered lunch,I tapped my debit card to pay and the transaction was taking a little longer than usual to be processed.. the cashier became impatient saying it’s taking too long.. I asked her to wait, as the machine was showing “ please wait “, instead of waiting she shut the machine down and tried to restart it.. she made me stood there while she tried to restart the machine unsuccessfully.. all this time telling me I have to pass my card again.. I told her I was running late and the process was taking too long.. I proceeded to leave without being served and ordered lunch at a pizza place nearby where my card went through with no hitch.. After returning to work I decided to check my bank account on my phone and noted that the payment to Thai express did in fact went through.. I returned to Thai express later that day to tell them and show them on my phone the transaction did go through.. These people refused to give me back my money telling me they don’t have it (even though the cashier remembered me from earlier).. there was this guy there who was extremely rude telling me he don’t want to see what’s on my phone because that doesn’t mean anything and he doesn’t have my money.. I asked him “ when will you have my money “ He told me the next day.. I went back the next day and this man told me to go to my bank and have them give me a statement and come back in 48hrs.. and he proceeded to laugh at me.. before leaving I told him and the cashier “ you know what, you can keep the money because you both seem to need it more than I do , not worth my time, the gas , and most importantly not worth the stress”.. It’s a lesson learned.. will never go back there… extremely poor...

Not a good experience. I ordered a Pad Salad with extra rice on the side. Instead, they removed half the salad, and filled half the plate with rice. So I paid the full extra, but I get half the food. If the portions were normal Thaï Express size, it would not have been that bad, but the portions there are half the size I usually get in other franchisees. Then, they forgot to give me the 2 imperial rolls I had ordered. To their defense, they tried to rectify the issues, but it was rush hour, I was hungry, I had already waited 10 minutes to get the food and I didn't want to stall the line for...

I was in the area and felt like eating fast food Thai. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff was kind and courteous. I ordered an appetizer, dumplings with peanut butter sauce .

First off, they weren't cheap with the peanut butter. It covered every single dumpling. The sauce itself had such an amazing amount of flavor in it, not something I've tasted in a long time, and I'm a fan of peanut butter in all shapes and sizes.

Mixed with the dumplings, it literally hit the spot. I should've ordered a second round, but alas. Next time I'm in that area, I'll be going...
