Maybe its a nice place to eat at for different dishes, I dont know, but for delivery of pizza this was the worst I ever had in my entire life. It arrived lukewarm. They dont even cut it. The dough was incredibly hard to chew, so much that my jaw was sore when I got done eating two pizzas and im used to chewing. A lot. On tough meat. So its not me.
I ordered with doordash and there was no option to select the size so I assume Gepetto dont offer different sizes. I would say the size was between small and large, so some kind of custom medium size but it cost the same price as a large one at other pizza delivery places here. Normally I can only eat one large pizza. I was able to eat two of these. 63$ for a one person meal. Incredible.
There was very little cheese and toppings on them. Very cheap. Couldnt have been more than 1/4 to 1/3 of a centimer thick of cheese. There was a really big crust, about an inch in width (you know, the leftover dough after you ate all the center part). It was like chewing rubber. This could have been nicer if it came with some garlic dip. No dip at all. Nothing. Just a mouthful of dough. My mind was completely, thoroughly blown. How did I just pay so much money for so much garbage. I wasnt even full after those 2 pizzas tbh I could have eaten a third one but my jaw wouldnt have been able to take much more of this rubber.
After I was done eating, I noticed small writing on the lip of the box that says we should warm up the pizza for 4 minutes for best results. Maybe this would have helped the rubbery state of this dough. Funny though, I never had this problem in my entire life and I've ordered from many different places.
Doordash delivered very quickly. They are not to blame for...
Read moreNice to see an upscale restaurant venturing deep into my Desmarchais Crawford neighbourhood. We drank some local beers on tap and they were cold and tasty, shared two oven baked pizza and they were really good. It was opening week so the place was crowded with staff and management. Lots of people were making sure we were enjoying our dining experience. Looking forward to hanging on their patio. If you’re constantly complaining about the price of things, or trying to save two dollars here and there, old Verdun style, this isn’t your spot. They spent a fortune creating a very nice decor and welcoming atmosphere, the items on the menu reflect and respect this value, and I had the feeling I had gotten my money’s worth, when I left the place. I have been back since, for drinks, and it was also good. Might...
Read moreThe food was awesome and the white wine great! The big issue was the service. I'm bilingual, my wife can speak and understand a little French, but I use English when out for respect of her to understand everything clearly and make a good choice. The waitress knew how to speak English, she said some sentences in English when we first entered and sat down with another couple, but she chose to stay in French. I asked questions about the menu in English, she answered in French. To me, nothing is more rude. Second point was when I was paying the bill, she stood right next to me and it was difficult to not have my PIN exposed as I entered it. I looked up before I entered it and she was looking down at me. She didn't step back at all. Otherwise, a cozy ambiance, good food, but that didn't make up for this...
