District Bagel - Lucerne — Restaurant in Mount Royal

Was in Montreal for four days I think we ate there about four or five times. All I can say is the food is delicious the service is excellent the bagels in Montreal are the real thing ; chewy, tasty not big and fluffy like the ones I get in NY or LA. They have delicious breakfast salads soups pastries and ready to go salads and proteins . Did I mention that the bagels are absolutely incredible! On the last day I found out that they have spelt bagels it’s not on their list I love spelt I think they should put it on the list and write “please check if available”. I just took one to go, I haven’t tasted it yet but I’m sure it’ll be terrific. My wife and I considered it a highlight of the trip second only to spending time with our kids and grandkids… oh, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. We were exquisitely and attentively serviced by Nancy, Chelsea and Mabhu. Where do I begin? They need more than 5 stars. I went to a celebration this morning and the food was so great, my taste buds urged me to I ask who the caterer was. This never happened before. I never ask for caterers. The bagel was melt in your mouth delicious. The orange juice must have been freshly squeezed. It comes in a gorgeous slim bottle with the company’s logo. The pasta was to die for - cheesy, mushroom pasta… mmm…with sauce or without. They even had an omlet station. The omelet was so delicious! The cheese just strang away after every forkful. The salads delicious. The veggies and fruit - you can taste the freshness. Not old stuff. I was really impressed! Wow! Good...

They did everything right! From our past experience it’s been hard to get good kosher food on Uber eats when we are on the road travelling, yet we’ve been very pleased with the service and food offered at District Kosher. They prepared the order really fast, did everything right according to our order without any mistakes, and thought about the small details for us, like covering the coffees with silver foil, putting the salad croutons and dressing in small containers, and wrapping the food well. Everything arrived fresh and HOT!!! Thanks for a great experience, we will return when back...
