My husband and I were in the area during lunch and wanted to personally see if the high google reviews were accurate. At first, I was thrown off as I wasn't expecting the cafe to be within a hair salon and boutique. We were about to leave, but then the lady at the counter introduced herself and asked us if it was our first time at Sonnys. She was super friendly so we asked her what she recommended. She said their Philly steak subs were amazing. My husband had the Philly sub and I tried their spicy shrimp tacos. The food arrived quickly and the whole plate looked like a rainbow. The shrimp tacos were really good, but OMG the Philly steak sub was to die for!! I literally stole half of my husband's sandwich and wanted to order another one. If you're ever in the area you need to try their PHILLY STEAK subs! Also, the food was SUPER FRESH and the staff was so KIND and FRIENDLY! I will definitely...

I think this is another of those places that get "miracle reviews". How do you get 5 stars ? Don't want to know. I tried it twice and both times I was more towards disappointed. If i bring 10 of my friends and try a poke and 8 of them say they DON't like it and two are neutral , what does it mean ? Is it good or bad ? I let you guess my opinion. Makes no sense for me that it has so many good reviews...yet the food is ordinary. Maybe not even ordinary. Tastes are different, but we are not talking about myself only. Portions are very generous and very nice presentation. Yet, when it comes to salmon chicken or shrimp you need a magnifier glass to find the meat; there is very little. Prices are more expensive compared to other poke bowls places as well....

Decided to try it for the first time because of the rave reviews. Will likely be the last, I don’t understand how it has 5 stars, it’s suspicious. Went in person after a haircut. It wasn’t crowded because of the snow storm. Just ordered a ceasar salad and it took 25 minutes for it to come out (see photo for proof, time shown on payment receipt vs on my phone when it came out). I joked with my friend it must be the best salad in the world to justify this wait. But no, it was just regular. While eating there I saw someone else come back and complain that they ordered a rice bowl but was given a poke bowl. Clearly I wasn’t the only disappointed...
