Thai Express Restaurant Mont-Royal — Restaurant in Mount Royal

I had a really disappointing experience at this Thai Express (Centre Rockland). I specifically asked for battered chicken in my Pad Thai, but the staff member kept repeating “butter chicken” (just because I’m Indian). I even wrote it down to make it clearer, but he still said they don’t have it. This was frustrating because other Thai Express locations have understood this request before.

Next, while placing my order, he didn’t even ask if I wanted my Pad Thai spicy — something every other branch normally asks. I reminded him before paying that I wanted it spicy, but when my food came, it wasn’t spicy at all. When I pointed it out, his response was, “There is sriracha sauce over there.” Honestly, if I wanted to rely on bottled sriracha, I’d go for Mexican food, not Thai.

On top of that, the dish itself was disappointing. It was basically just noodles and bean sprouts with one piece of tofu. No green onions, no salted radish, nothing close to what the menu describes. I’ve attached a photo for reference — it was far from the quality I’ve had at other Thai Express locations.

I always order Pad Thai vegetables adding up tofu whenever I am into Thai food. I had a worst experience ever with this branch. The guy does not have friendly behavior failed to make an instructive conversation. He asked me to mention each and every kind of vegetable I wand to have in my plate while it was always routin ingredients inside. At the end they just provide me a Thai plate with the least vegetables with big pieces of tofu not hot! They didn't even ask if I wand it spicy and how much. It was a waste of money and...

Was the worst customer service. Impatient for taking orders when he clearly has difficulty with communication. After a hard time ordering, we could literally hear him commenting on us with another employee and looking at us weirdly. There is not even garnish options. Had to ask for peanuts and the employee seemed to be offended. Anyway, just go to other restaurants or another location. Definitely not...
