Grillades Torino — Restaurant in Mount Royal

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We placed our order and stood waiting as the employee who took it just walked away. Another worker started preparing food for the next customer who arrived after us. We stood there for about 20 minutes, assuming our order was being made — but nothing was happening.

Then another family arrived, and the staff started taking and preparing their order immediately. At that point, we asked what was going on, and the employee called his colleague — only for us to see through the window that the guy who took our order had gone on a lunch break! He just took the order and left. No explanation, no hand-off. Just gone.

This is some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced.

To top it off, the food was terrible. We ordered a small chicken poutine for takeout and got a medium shrimp poutine with some extremely spicy sauce — which we only realized once we got home. Absolutely disgusting. Not what we ordered, and not even remotely enjoyable.

Disappointing lunch. I heard lots of good things about this place.

My mother and I are the only ones waiting in line. He asks us what we want to order and we tell him. He then proceeds to finish 3 online/takeaway orders before starting with ours, making us wait for over 5 minutes. Once he starts with our orders, he rushes it all and doesn’t explain anything to us.

I end up getting this plate. Portion is not worth the price AT ALL. Small spoonful of salad and tiny pieces of meat. The chicken was undercooked and not pleasant to chew. I was told that this place’s chicken is smooth to eat, but mine felt raw in places, and it had those little white pieces of plastic in them, which I had to spit out.

Funniest part is their card machine asking for tip, lol. Making us wait in line with no one else, while they take their time preparing online orders, then rush explaining to us how to order, and to serve us this mediocre food + small portion.

Never visiting...

Just DO NOT COME. Seems like they purposely make you wait, horrible experience, i waited 30 mn and it was NOT crowded, food is barely ok, the pita is ridiculously small. There was NOBODY and instead of giving me the order they jokes around, showed each other some videos, refilled some not so empty veggie boxes. He even went “what was your order again?” After i already told him and he said ok. Won’t be coming back and absolutely won’t recommend i hated it and...
