Be aware!
Don’t order Buffett! If you can’t finish it . You will be charged any even if you leaves couple of pieces of chicken regardless according to the manager
Just visited this afternoon - food was excellent as usual - had buffet ( great price) was told to Pay $5 because we couldn’t finish the food - disputed - manager very rude creating a scene- in front of customers- instead of being polite - I asked her what she considers waste - or is a way of making extra money from the customers
Have visited this location plenty of time - Never had any issue - ordering thru menu. - left food which we couldn’t finish - no issue
The manager was a good server but maybe the position has changed her personality .
Thank you for your prompt reply Mr Owner - I agree with don’t waste food - What is your criteria? Do you weigh or is it based on the manager making decision - you eat buffet , to try different variety of food Items - and if you like it - The next time you order off the menu and if you find goat curry was hard and chicken tika was dry like we did this time - we did not complain but left some on our plate - (a lesson for your customers to make sure you advise the manager- otherwise you will charged extra) you leave it on the plate and won’t order of the menu on your next visit - maybe your views are different - I am sure , when you are visiting Indian restaurants in Vancouver and eating their full Buffett you must be leaving some food on your plate - if not Kudos to you !!!
As mentioned - being regular at your premises , the manager should have come near the table and mentioned that being a regular client, this time I won’t charge you since you might not be aware of our policy but next time you will have to pay - you keep your customer happy and they spread the word around - which we having been doing and have lots of friends coming to your restaurant and enjoying delicious food .
Just got an idea - If you want to charge $5 for waste food and it is not your profit - maybe on the monthly basis - show the amount you have collected from customers and feed the homeless downtown - or issue cheque and make donation to charity of your choice and let the customer know on your website
Mr owner : curious _ been a long time :Waiting for your reply any changes when you order...
Read moreWe ordered tonight July 22 and I got milder dishes and they were delicious. We had also gotten it again this past May. This time I got child mild and seem ok as I can’t have spicy anymore due to medical issues. The samosa filling is spicy for me but tastes amazing! My only issue would be that there weren’t any potatoes in my beef vindaloo and the menu notes them. There was a tiny stray bit of cauliflower which I didn’t mind. The beef was so tender without fatty parts. My husband got a medium Chicken Rohan and loved it. I did get the Chana masala again and I love that. The rice side is lovely with cardamom pods and the naan is large and delicious. We keep getting takeout as we still are Covid careful.
This was part was written long ago. We have not gone to any restaurant or gotten take out in over a year because of COVID, but decided to do so today for a special occasion. I got carried away after looking through the menu. We picked up our food-ordered veggie samosa's-not at all like photo and bigger than tennis balls and spicy, stuffed and delicious, chicken tika, different than I've had before but very good, lamb kabobs, which again were not at all like the photo or what I expected, but delicious, veggie biryani very nice, beef vindaloo mild and yummy, chana masala which was delicious, tandori roti which was plain and nice and there were various dips, a butter sauce which was sweet and delicious, a side of basmati rice, and a complimentary rice pudding which my husband enjoyed. There was some other thin crispy cracker like thing that we did not order so must have been tossed in and we found after we were stuffed. I had to phone to ask a few questions about the order and staff were kind and helpful each time. Other than there only being 2 of us to eat enough for 5-6 people it was fantastic! I might have to freeze some of it. We look forward to making this a regular indoor...
Read moreI ordered a lamb kebab, garlic naan, and chicken naan. The lamb kebab I had was awful. It was old and reheated, meat was dry and flavorless. Additionally, the dish was completely tasteless and lacked any seasoning or spices that would enhance the taste. To make matters worse, the lamb kebab was full of colors, which was a clear indication that the meat may not have been fresh. I was extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the dish. It was clear that little care was taken in preparing it, and it was simply reheated without any attempt to make it enjoyable. It was a waste of money and left me feeling unsatisfied. Garlic nan was acceptable though.
This is what happened after contacting them: Most embarrassing experience. Disappointed and disrespected. After the terrible experience with this order, I called them back after seeing their response. But things quickly went downhill. The first person I spoke with, a lady, listened to my explanation but then passed me off to another person. This process continued, and I spoke with multiple individuals who didn't seem to care about my experience. No one apologized, and I started to feel like my concerns were being dismissed. The final person I spoke with was the worst of all. He started by offering compensation but then demanded that I remove my negative review in exchange. He even went as far as to blame me for my review, which was completely insulting. I couldn't believe the way they were treating me as a customer. The attitude towards customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, and I believe they need to take a hard look at their practices and prioritize customer...
