LOCAL Pizza — Restaurant in Nanaimo

I'm usually skeptical of places with perfect or near-perfect ratings, as they often seem like incentivized reviews. However, we decided to give this place a try after seeing the reviews and noticing they offered paneer toppings, which hinted at an Indian-style pizza—something we've been craving.

We ordered an extra-large ‘Your Pizza Your Way’ with our favorite toppings, a side of twisted breadsticks, and chicken wings after spotting a deal for 6 wings at $3.99 with a 'Local Pizza.' However, when I went back to ask for a receipt (which wasn't offered initially), I was told that the wing deal only applies to pizzas from their menu, not the 'Your Pizza Your Way' option. It would have been helpful if this was clarified at the time of ordering, and customers should always be asked if they need a receipt.

Its a delight to be a regular customer, if not a frequent one, at this wonderfully family run, island owned, business. Their Pizza and the variety of pizza choices from Vegetarian to Meat Lovers or Chicken Tandoori, to name but a few, are excellent. They start by making it from scratch, the ingredients fresh and it comes out of the Pizza oven piping hot! We like to pick up our order and have a chat, if they're not too busy.

Price point very very, good considering it is NOT A "Manufactured" PIZZA that tastes just like the word implies!

The owners are pleasant to talk with, the Pizza Shop is very clean, lots of parking available in front, handicap friendly parking. Plus the shop is easy to access if a person is physically challenged.

I truly prefer to support local home grown businesses rather than a conglomerate, and I will do so whenever I possibly can.

I highly recommend that people give "Local Pizza" A Try! (North end of Old Island Hwy. Same plaza as Cabela's Sports...

First time trying Local Pizza and I’m so glad that I decided to try at this location! The employees are super nice and helpful. This was subpar customer service for a fast food joint. I called to ask about some questions on the pizzas. The individual (whose name I did not get unfortunately but she was an Indian lady) was super helpful and guided me through my order. I called again with some additional questions and the Indian gentleman who answered was equally amazing! It’s these small things that matter. Thank you for an amazing experience and customer service! A big fan of this location and will be telling everyone that I know who plans on visiting!
