I was going to leave a great review cuz I've been going here for 6 years and love the wing deals and specials and such. But now you've changed your wing specials from $10.95 to $13.95! And what's worse you've made restrictions on hours to be able to take advantage of such a "great deal"...?! Yes, i realize prices have gone up. I'm not living under a rock. They've gone up everywhere. But if that's going to be the case, then customers can't afford to come out at all anymore. And don't even try to compare what I equate a pub to groceries. I have no choice but to buy groceries. I have a CHOICE to go out to a pub. It's a nice luxury that I can't afford if your prices go up prohibitively. I hope the additional $3 and more restricted hours on when wing night is accessible helps you make ends "meat"...instead of keeping it low and having more bodies in the pub, you'll now have higher prices and less people..you do the math. Does that make cents to you...?I hope you lose MORE customers, cuz you've definitely lost us! a bunch of us always went there now we won't be....

This pub, while serving a variety of food and calls themselves a neighborhood pub does not permit under 19 year olds to eat with their family, (in our case the person was a few months short of 19) in the afternoon no less. Not a friendly place. Backwards thinking. Their reply isn't exactly true. Pubs that serve food like the Landlubber can and usually do apply for the ability to serve minors. This has been the law since 2013. They don't want minors so they may have not applied. It is their choice if they want to serve minors food when they apply for or update their license. If they wanted to, they could have updated their license, just like the many other pubs we've been to. This is the norm. They are making it sound like their hands are tied. If they wanted to serve families with teens, all they have to do is apply. Common place in Europe and even in good...

Had the most amazing tater tots some time ago, and would come back again! But, that is not what I'm here to talk about: let's talk about "the sign". It's come to light that some folks don't like the light humour that Andrew, the owner, wanted to convey while looking to hire new staff. What some people decided to do was berate him based in wild assumptions about how his alleged underpaying of his staff; you could not be more wrong, naive internet police. Based on sources which I cannot name, the staff who work at The Landlubber make well over the minimum wage AND receive extended benefits. So, the next time you decide to ride the internet waves of hate try to see it from the point of view of the person who wrote "the sign" before you decide to call them names you'd never say in person...

Wednesdays are wing nights at the Landlubber Pub. I opted out of that choice since I was watching my calories...again 😏 I chose the fish tacos and a salad, since I have recently took a liking to them. To my disappointment, it was not as good as my last two experiences. The fish was very bland, and the fixings were basically the same stuff from my boring salad. The salad looked like bagged salad from the grocery store, with tiny chopped up tomatoes.. Boring.I didn't finish it. I was sitting there trying to get through my not so good dinner choice and my company were making noises, mmmm, yummy...sigh I should have gotten wings, they sounded like they were delicious. Tip: if you go for wings, try getting there early, we got there at 5:30 and got the last table. There was a lineup when we left.

Decent food, fair prices, good service. Never had a problem here until they (well, presumably the owner or management) had the gall to post "free ride's almost over, apply within" on thier message board outside, in response to the lack of availabile service staff following Covid 19 and CERB benefits. Frankly, if your business model depends on paying people less than unemployment subsidies, you don't deserve to be in business at all. It's a tasteless move at best, and a downright insulting move at worst to all the former service staff who took the chance CERB provided to move away from that thankless industry. Absolutely shameful behaviour and I will never take my business there again.

My husband & I ordered the beef dip, subbed with onion rings and the tater tots. It took a while for food to come to the table as they were crazy busy, (understandable). But before the waitress sat our plates on the table I could smell the burnt food, (The tator tots). The beef dip was full of fat and grissle and tasted gross! We ate only half the order of the decent looking tator tots but I wouldn't brag about them. The smell of Burton isn't appetizing. Loved the onion rings though. They were awesome! I definitely will never be back! Not worth the price! Yes the waitress was told but she merely shrugged her shoulder and walked away 'cause she didn't care.
